Good day, fellow divers, welcome to my blog. I carried out my cleaning today within my immediate surroundings, I packed all the refuse into a garbage bag and disposed of it properly.
A few weeks ago, I travelled to Lagos to collect a digital device sent to me from abroad. I boarded a public bus to Ajah. There was this passenger seated close to me who had a plastic bag of various snacks and a bottle of soft drinks. When he was done with his snack, he flung the wraps of the snacks and the empty bottle out of the window of the bus. I was aggravated because of his disregard for the planet, but when I was thinking about his actions, I noticed that there was no dustbin on the bus.
Still, I felt he could have held on to the trash until he found a dustbin when he got off the bus.
I also noticed that this was almost what everyone was doing on the bus, some people threw the refuse through the window while others left it on the bus.
This is the order of the day in most parts of the country. What we need is to change our attitude. This will go a long way to make our planet a better and safer place.
