Good morning, fellow hivers, welcome to my blog. I carried out my cleaning activity as usual. I went into the neighbouring community to clean up the place. The place was littered with different types of waste such as plastic bottles, soda cans, glass bottles, polythene, wraps of sweets and biscuits, sachet of water etc.
The rainy season is here, but yet still people are throwing away refuse indiscriminately, they don't care where they are dumping these wastes. I noticed that a wooden bridge linking to neighbouring communities had been destroyed as a result of flooding, that has clogged the waterways there by causing the river to overflow it's banks.
Pollution is nothing but the resources we are not harvesting. We allow them to be dispersed because we’ve been ignorant of their value. —- R. Buckminster Fuller
This has caused the bridge to be seen as a death trap by many villagers, taxi and bike men who ply the road.
These pictures show how I carried out my cleaning activity.
As my blog continues to grow, please continue to support and engage me.
