Da unsere letzte Müllsammelaktion schon eine Weile her ist, sind wir heute endlich mal wieder als Familie mit Müllbeutel und Spielzeuggreifhand losgezogen und haben unseren Spaziergang bewusst zum Müllsammeln in der Nachbarschaft genutzt.
Meistens wird man ja etwas komisch von der Seite angeschaut, wenn man mit einem Müllbeutel in der Hand rumläuft, aber heute haben wir auch mal eine ganz andere Reaktion erhalten dürfen. Wir sind mit einem nettes Pärchen ins Gespräch gekommen, welches gerade dabei war Ihre Hecke zu schneiden. Ihnen ist aufgefallen, was wir machen und Sie haben direkt gesagt, wie toll sie diese Aktion finden. Sie haben sogar angeboten, den Müllbeutel bei sich zu entsorgen.
Das war mal eine schöne Begegnung und natürlich haben wir auch das Clean Planet Projekt angesprochen.
Since it's been a while since our last garbage collection campaign, we finally went out again today as a family with a garbage bag and a toy hand and deliberately used our walk to collect garbage in the neighborhood.
Most of the time you are looked at a bit funny from the side when you walk around with a garbage bag in your hand, but today we were allowed to get a completely different reaction. We got into a conversation with a nice couple who were cutting their hedge. They noticed what we were doing and said directly how great they thought this action was. They even offered to dispose of the garbage bag at their place.
That was a nice meeting and of course we also mentioned the Clean Planet project.

Our son's grasping hand turned out to be an adequate garbage collecting instrument, contrary to expectations ;)
Von Zigarettenstummeln... / From cigarette butts...
...über kleine Glasflaschen.../...over small glass bottles...
...bis hin zu Plastiknetzen.../ ...up to plastic nets...
...wurde alles akribisch eingesammelt. / ......everything was collected meticulously.
Unglaublich, wieviele Reste von Feuerwerksmüll wir noch fanden. Eigentlich müssten alle Menschen dazu verpflichtet werden, am Neujahrstag Ihren ganzen Feuerwerks- und Party-Müll wieder einzusammeln. Ich gönne wirklich jedem seinen Spaß, aber dazu gehört eben auch, sich um die Folgen zu kümmern.
Unbelievable how many remains of fireworks garbage we still found. Actually, all people would have to be obliged to collect all your fireworks and party garbage again on New Year's Day. I really do not begrudge everyone their fun, but that also includes taking care of the consequences.
Unser Sohnemann war auf jeden Fall absolut eifrig und hat jeden noch so kleinen Plastikfetzen aufgehoben.
In any case, our son was absolutely eager and picked up every scrap of plastic, no matter how small.
Unser Müllbeutel füllte sich wirklich in kürzester Zeit rasant.
Our trash bag really filled up rapidly in no time.
Diese ganze Strecke haben wir vom Müll befreit. Wege durch Felder sind natürlich immer ganz beliebte Müllentsorgungsstationen.
This whole stretch we have freed from the garbage. Paths through fields are of course always quite popular garbage disposal stations.
Auf dem Rückweg wurden wir noch mit Sonennschein für unseren Einsatz belohnt und freuten uns über eine wieder etwas weniger zugemüllte Nachbarschaft.
On the way back we were rewarded with sunshine for our efforts and were happy about a less littered neighborhood.
Den gesammelten Müll haben wir dann natürlich noch in unseren Hausmüll entsorgt.
Of course, we then disposed of the collected garbage in our household garbage.

Ja, ich denke auch, dass es wichtig ist, gerade die Kinder zu sensibilisieren. Dann könnte sich in Zukunft vielleicht mal was ändern. Zurzeit habe ich das Gefühl, dass immer mehr Müll achtlos weggeschmissen wird und noch kein richtiges Umdenken stattgefunden hat.
Das Pärchen, mit dem wir gesprochen haben, erzählte uns, wie oft sie beobachten müssen, dass ganze Mülltüten gezielt mit dem Auto zum Feld gebracht und dort hingeschmissen werden...einfach ohne Worte.

Great initiative! The company I work for usually does a volunteer park-cleanup every year in the summer, and I go every time - but then, I'm one of those weirdos who will pick up garbage when I'm out for a walk and throw it away because it's the right thing to do. Great to see our outdoor spaces being taken care of!
