Those that do not particularly have a clean home love to invite people to their homes. And they all act oblivious of how their homes need thorough cleaning. I have experienced this many times, I would visit and be uncomfortable with all the mess. Then to crown it all they will tell you “please feel at home”. No way, this does not feel like my home! I can give many instances of such homes I have visited.
Sometimes I wonder how they manage to act as if all all is right while I feel so uncomfortable. If you know you love inviting people to your house then you have to do the needful. Make it a place where your visitors can stay comfortably. I do not say anything though, because I believe we all know what we are doing. No one needs anyone to tell them to keep their homes clean. Such suggestion might even be met with a hostile reply. I just try my best to leave the home as soon as possible, and there won’t be a next time.
Do not inconvenient others. Take care of your homes or continue living in isolation, the choice is yours.
These were the thoughts I had while engaging in my cleaning activity today.
