While growing up as a kid, I never engaged in any form of cleaning without protection. My parents ensured that we have enough equipments to protect ourselves. This protection includes hand gloves, nose masks, overalls etc.
There is this saying; cleaning anything makes something else dirty. Come to think of it. If you cleaned a surface, then the rag you used must be dirty. If you do your laundry, the water gets dirty. This is the rule of thumb for effective cleaning and sanitation to take place.
Research has proved the fact that a piece of paper on the street contains hundreds of harmful germs and bacteria. Now thinks about dozens of them. I don’t want these germs transferred to me, do I?
Therefore, in the process of carrying out my cleaning activities I deemed it fit to get disposable hand gloves.
That way, the germs are not transferred to my bare hands and I’m safe from ‘dirtying’ myself while cleaning.
I will advice everyone to do the same as well. You never know where the trash you picked with your bare hands come from, or what they’ve been through. Protect yourself. Keep your hands clean as you do your environment.
Cleaner with a story.
