Tackling Plastic Pollution: A Call to Action for a Sustainable Future

in CLEAN PLANET5 months ago

Dear Readers, my todays topic is concerned with pollution which is one of the basic causes of global warming. Today I would highlight the pollution which is produced by Plastics. So ‘Plastic Pollution’ is the title of todays’ post. The global warming has a great impact in creating harm and damage to the environment as well the earth. It is not only hazardous for the human beings and animals but also damaging the plants, trees and the crops etc. There is a great need to pay attention towards this matter and play our role to save the earth and the environment, otherwise life on earth might become a dream in near future.

As I pointed out earlier that pollution is playing a harmful role in making the earth unsafe and unsecure and among other pollutions, the Plastic Pollution stands in the first row, therefore the entire humanity has to pay attention and must take part in avoiding unnecessary use of plastics.

Well! The plastic pollution is developed due to the use of plastic products; in developing countries, the waste plastic material is being put on fire to destroy or thrown in dustbins to dump, these waste materials gets mixed with waste drainage water and enters the drainage system, which falls into the streams and finally in the oceans and it becomes extremely dangerous for living being on earth and it creates threat for life. we as human beings are equally responsible in polluting the environment due to inadequate disposal system.

Plastic as a material was introduced in the beginning of Nineteenth century, the purpose was to introduce and create a new invention which could be beneficial for mankind although awareness on the hazards of plastic were either not identified or were not thought about and later by twentieth century, it was determined as the environment polluter.

The plastic has affected not only the human beings and wildlife but also damaged the natural processes of agriculture, the plants, trees and the crops are all at risk. It has also created danger for climate change, the entire living things are affected, it has also caused risks for the capability of production processes, it has damaged the drainage system specifically the developing countries where the drainage system is not well planned or advanced. Above all, the chemical material produced by plastic is one of the main causes of new diseases, it also plays role in promoting and advancing the existing diseases.

The produced smoke from the plastic and inhaled by human beings affects the human hormone system and the riskiest is its effect on mental functions. The human beings suffering from various diseases, when inhale the plastic smoke, the disease gets promoted to the next risky stage, it is also a source of spreading the diseases.

As per my research on the growth of diseases due to plastic pollution, I came to know that it a great threat for cardiac patients, it destroyed the pulmonary system to a maximum extent, lungs get directly affected, it rapidly affects the cancer patients whether the patient has brain cancer or the breast cancer. The plastic smoke is equally harmful for pregnant women; it develops diseases in the new born baby from the day of its birth.

Now coming to the main point on how can we reduce the inappropriate use of plastics? To fight the challenge of plastic pollution we need to take strong measures and steps on individual basis as well as at government level. It is simple if done with complete responsibility at both ends, since we have no proper strategy and system to dump the waste plastic materials therefore we need to avoid the use of disposable plastic materials used for food and brewages, need to stop the usage of plastic/ polythene shopping bags, plastic packs, bottles etc. If we are successful in taking these measures we can defeat the threat and can cope with this challenge to a wider extent. Let’s take these steps for the sake of Humanity.
