Good day, my fellow colleagues in the Clean the Planet community. I had the opportunity to pick up trash today around 2 PM. It was sunny and very hot. The trash was calling, so I took the initiative to remove it to make my surroundings look good. It has now become an addiction to clean the planet to the extent that my mom asks me every day if I have engaged in picking up trash. She is now my reminder. Anytime I'm bored, she will ask, "Have you picked up trash today?" Immediately, I will look for a bag and go out.
Why clean the planet? Reducing trash and waste helps protect natural habitats like water sources and wildlife from contamination and pollution. This also protects the general public from diseases and pest infestations, thereby improving community health. A clean environment can also improve the quality of life and promote community pride.
This is all the more reason why we need to clean the planet. That's why every city needs to promote proper waste management systems and recycling to reduce landfill use and encourage sustainable living. Cleaning the planet should be a social responsibility; it's a collective effort. It wouldn't be nice if one person is cleaning while others are littering.
