Today I had the pleasure of contemplating a beautiful cane field or sugar cane plantation, a very sunny but satisfying day, I love being in Nature.
La caña de azúcar es una planta pasto gigante que tiene un tallo macizo se cultiva en toda Venezuela es propia de tierras calientes y soleadas para que el fenómeno de la fotosíntesis se oriente hacia la producción de carbohidratos.
Sugarcane is a giant grass plant that has a solid stem. It is cultivated throughout Venezuela, it is typical of hot and sunny lands so that the phenomenon of photosynthesis is oriented towards the production of carbohydrates.
Es un producto agrícola que está presente en nuestra gastronomía venezolana como endulzante, condimento, golosina y remedio. Se le encuentra en bebidas como el papelón con limón o el guarapo, y en platos tan criollos como el asado negro, el guiso de las hallacas, golfeados, naiboas, arepas dulces, jaleas, postres y panes, melaza,mercocha.

El tallo contiene un jugo rico en azúcar (cuyo nombre científico es sacarosa), que para su consumo se extrae y cristaliza mediante un proceso quimico, o manual por medio de un molino llamado trapiche.
The stem contains a juice rich in sugar (whose scientific name is sucrose), which for consumption is extracted and crystallized through a chemical process, or manual through a mill called trapiche.
Llegan a medir de 2 a 5 metros de altura,su forma y color son semejante al bambú.

También se puede consumir en forma natural , masticando la fibra dulce y extrayendo el jugo directo del tallo a la boca,pelada y Picada en pedazos,es muy rica y saludable.
