Roosters can be eaten, but the best thing is that they trample the hens and make them fit for breeding, and you can get eggs that a hen can take care of to have your chicks at home.
I wish I had chickens and roosters. It's hard to get some over here. My kid ordered chickens fingers crossed they will be delivered this year's. Already try since two or three years.
