In every city and many times in every municipality of my country, Venezuela there is a Bolivar Square, these squares are named after who was the liberator hero of Venezuela and 4 other nations, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia and Peru, the picture you see belongs to the statue of the Plaza Bolivar in the city of Caracas, which is located in the center of the city and very close to the birthplace of the Liberator, the house of the Link and the Return which was the house where Simon Bolivar lived with his wife.
En cada ciudad y muchas veces en cada municipio de mi país, Venezuela hay una plaza Bolívar, está plazas deben su nombre a quien fue el prócer libertador de Venezuela y de otras 4 naciones, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia y Perú, la fotografía que ven pertenece a la estatua de la Plaza Bolívar de la ciudad de Caracas , la cual se encuentra en el centro de la ciudad y muy cerca de la casa natal del Libertador, la casa del Vínculo y el Retorno que fue la casa donde Simón Bolívar vivió con su esposa.
As you can imagine, many of the structures near this Plaza preserve the architecture of the Colonial era, for example the Cathedral of Caracas which is located on one side of the Plaza, when I saw the theme chosen for this POBphotocontest this square immediately came to my memory, plus it is relatively close to the office where I work, so I took a trip and took the picture of the statue that is in the center of this square. Currently, this square is quite neat and cared for, at some point it was very neglected, but I am glad to see that they have placed plants making arches in all its accesses, that makes it look very nice and fresh.
So I'm leaving here my participation for the POBphotocontest #50.
Como podrán imaginar, muchas de las estructuras cercanas a esta Plaza conservan la arquitectura propia de la época de la Colonia, por ejemplo la Catedral de Caracas que se encuentra a uno de los lados de la Plaza, cuando vi la temática elegida para ese POBphotocontest de inmediato vino a mi memoria esta plaza, además de que se encuentra relativamente cerca de la oficina en la que laboro, así que me di una escapada y tome la fotografía de la estatua que está en todo el centro de esta plaza. Actualmente, esta plaza está bastante arreglada y cuidada, en algún momento estuvo muy descuidada, pero me alegro ver que han colocado plantas haciendo arcos en todos sus accesos., eso la hace lucir muy bonita y fresca.

¿Ah no pero trabajas en el centro? Estás pillada jajajaja, buenas tomas, la verdad es que no en todos los estado o al menos en lo que he estado y visitados las plaza bolivar están tan cuidadas... Recuerdo en Carúpano, la plaza bolivar era la más descuidada de todo el lugar pero en fin, creo que en la mayoría de los lugares ya no se le presta tanta atención o no simbólicamente, cómo es debido.
Hola mi amigo del alma, si trabajo ene l centro cerca de la estación del Metro la Hoyada, y hay unas plazas Bolívar que dan es vergüenza y tristeza, actualmente esta esta muy bonita y la del hatillo es una belleza.

Historic persons often are pictured on a horse and placed in the middle of important squares. This is a nice one as well.

This Plaza Bolivar shows the Liberator on horseback, in another that is very well preserved and cared for, the Municipality of Hatillo, I saw a bust of the Liberator.
