As you outlined you are a tax dodger. You don't contribute to the whole. You pick who you help. You do so on your behest to help and teach who you pick.
That is not a contributor to the whole society you belong.
Creating a carbon footprint calculator is just a skill you can put on a website. With knowledge of the topic and the available scientific data of calculation available online, anyone with the any coding ability can create that.
I don't want to sound too negative I am sure you have helped people along the way based on your whims. Because we all have subjective points of view, but it does not mean you have contributed to the overall. Yes, there are misappropriations of things and mishandling of funds for security (military spending) and what not. I would like highlight though that leaving your country without a strong defense force would leave you vulnerable. But that would not bother you since you basically do not belong anywhere within a sphere of a country. Since you pretty much are saying you can go anywhere and flaunt your freedom and do not have any ties that bind you to anything other than yourself.
While you did not get any reward for your 'coding' of months work, that still does not excuse anyone from saying they can proudly not pay taxes. Everyone pays taxes and the ones that do are either free loaders or just like people like you who go on saying they have done enough to help who they deem as needing help. I could meet you off a street in Phuket and pretend to be flat bloke with no education and get some sympathy from you. Does that mean you can tick one for your achievements?
Yes, I sound harsh but that is what you get for blowing a trumpet that encourages that kind of behavior. Here is a bigger thought that pops into my mind about this whole situation, growing up were you from public school system? if so that is what taxes pay. If you weren't then you came from a fairly good and probably tax cheating brood.

i have dodged no tax.. nor broken any laws.. as a UK citizen who has left the UK 20 years ago i am no longer obliged or required to pay tax.. even if i wanted to.. i am not obliged. sadly the USA dont allow this and continue to steal your money forever, wherever you may live..
it seems to be a common thing in todays culture that people judge each other without making a sincere effort to understand the facts, or get to know the person they are judging.
and let it be said i pay PLENTY of tax in the form of VAT, which is another scam and one that addes huge extra burden on poorer people..

point being, as i said 90% or more (i think much more) of stolen tax money is used to create weapons of mass destruction, propagate war, and desecrate our planet.. and most of it is funneled out of our local communities.. it is a total scam that most people think is for our greater good.. trust me, if we all paid for the things we used instead paying tax we would be saving a fortune and not perpetuating the enslavement of humanity. All centralised systems are the most inefficient and corrupt places to put money.. its all stolen and used in secret mind bendingly stupid projects that never even see the light of day.

well no, i gave up my life and my job and stepped WAY out of my comfort zone 21 years ago and i havent looked back.. ive never broken the law and consider myself to be a very good man ..

i think that developing and initiating the entire carbon balancing and footprinting system as we know it today counts for a lot.. thats just the start.. shame that our governemt systems totally corrupted it and created tax credits so that it can be commercialised and have no positive impact anymore.. i gave that up because it was pointless after our tax loving governments also ruined the whole thing!
