I feel like I’ve abandoned a part of myself with having not posted on PoB for a while.
Kingston Ontario is finally getting out of lockdown. Businesses are finally being allowed to open. While many shut down for good, mine was itsy pitsy enough that the situation didn’t obliterate me. Though, it was a close call.
So, the reason I’ve not been around is that I’ve been hyper focusing on reinstating my business endeavours. We went from thinking it would be a long time to getting the go in a few weeks. Zero to one hundred!
Running my own business, I have the ability to make my own schedule. Granted, finances still control me. Yet, I want my business to help people and I can’t do that without revenue. But, I’ve blocked out Sundays completely. So No matter what happens, I’ll have Sundays to write and post.
And my kiddo had her graduation, and we’ve been at the water front and the animals had vet appointments.
And there it is, my explanation and touching base.
I’m still here. Just got shit on the go.
Here’s the gorgeous aromatherapy diffuser I purchased for the office-
And photo my kiddo at the water-
Screen shots of my re-branding business logo in the thinking process-
This is K on her way to her grad “ceremony”. She refused to wear a dress and didn’t want anything fancy. This isn’t computable to me- I like to to play princess for a day, but not her. It was strange to not get her a fancy dress but she is who she is. I had to argue her not to wear dirty clothing so I’ll consider this outfit a success.
I hope you all are well. I miss you all.
ex oh.
In Brazil, unfortunately, Lockdown is far from over.
Every day there is a new 7x1 happening here (reference to the defeat Brazil suffered in 2014 at the World Cup against Germany, so whenever something bad happens, it's the expression Brazilians use)
The most recent, occurred yesterday, the Brazilian government asked for a bribe of 1 dollar for each vaccine purchased.
Before that, Pfizer had sent 58 emails offering the vaccine to Brazil for cheaper prices than it offered to Europe and the US, and the Brazilian government simply ignored the emails and later claimed that the computer had a virus.
If I were to point out several situations that we've been through with Brazilian politicians since 2003 (when I started following Brazilian politics), it would be a new post of 10,000 characters for each month.
Of the last 4 presidents we had, 1 was arrested, 1 was impeached, 1 was not arrested because Brazil (yes, believe me, there is the expression here that something did not happen because: Brazil) and the current president has not yet been arrested because he delivered the key to the safe for the politicians and with it they are spending money in exchange for not taking him out of power.
The president's eldest son is being investigated for corruption for several crimes, one of which was embezzling money through a chocolate shop that ironically sold the least month was Easter.
I still want to make a series of posts on my profile about this desgorveno and its predecessors, so that it can be documented on the blockchain. Maybe one day. Who knows when the lockdown around here ends.
Corruption makes the situation worse. In my country, some cases of covid-19 fund corruption is as if protected by invisible hand that no law can touch the men behind the illegal money spending.
It is good to hear that the lock down is been ease in your country too as it as been ease here since, thanks to the people here that they adhere to the precautions giving by the medical practitioner in dealing with the covid-19 and it as really worked well, nice business logo too I must say
seems like things are finally looking up for ya, super awesome to hear it!
Such great news, @anaclark!
Unfortunately, here in Brazil we are still far from the end of this nightmare.
