Wow, that's some messed up stuff! Doesn't seem like something that would naturally appeal to me, but I am not opposed to pushing my comfort zone either. 85 pages is something I could probably handle. Too bad I have a stack of books I need to work through first. My wife and I just keep buying them faster than I can read them!
Yeah I hear you. The stack just keeps growing. At one point my wife and I put a limit on how many new books we were "allowed" to buy before finishing the books that were in backlog. It was sort of like a "one in and one out" policy once we exceeded our limit lol. We based it on how fast and how many books each of us read so she was "allowed" to have 11 in backlog and me 4. I think we essentially did away with that rule though. I think I only have 2 in backlog at the moment but not sure what she has now.
I keep finding stuff to buy for my Kindle and then this weekend alone we visited three used book stores. I've been reading a lot of Michael Connely and he has quite a catalog of books, so I am slowly working through all of those. Right now I am about three into the Bosch series, but I also just started picking up the Lincoln Lawyer books.
That should keep you busy for a while
