the midwit has bee led to believe , through education - that they are at the top of the IQ hierarchy - and do not realize that they aren't.
The midwit is very socially aware, and much better at playing the social game than those with higher IQ's (autistic traits increase with higher IQ ).
The social skills become more relevant in being seen as intelligent, without it being so.
