Well, if you're a newbie and you've been toiling and toiling in vain without anything to show for it this is a great chance/ opportunity to actually experience something worthwhile. I'm sure it sounds so unbelievable, I also felt the same way at first but believe me, this is indeed the breakthrough you've been waiting for.
Before I reveal what it is that you've indeed been missing I'll love for you to prepare your mind. You know that....scratch that I'm just wasting valuable time. I can feel your fingers itching in anticipation, hold your horses you'll find out what it is soon enough. I present to you:

So what is the POB-WOTW??
The #pob-wotw is a writing contest that's regularly held in the Proof of Brain community. It is a contest that has to wonderful orators, @scholaris and @calumam . They run the contest so far and ensures that it goes really smoothly, kudos to them!.
How does it work?
It is actually quite simple, every week or two weeks depending on the length chosen, a word is chosen as the word of the week. All you just have to do is write about anything, could be your life story, or fiction, or anything educative to name a few and ensure that word is incorporated in your write up.
It is that easy, you just have to be really creative in your write up and make sure to use the pob-wotw tag to ensure your post gets visible. They'll be a deadline to make your entry, could be a week or two depending on whatever the orators choose. When the deadline reaches, each post is run through a scoring system and then winners are chosen.
Benefits??
They're a lot of benefits accruing to being part of the contest. The pob-wotw is one of the most engaging contests here on hive and it is made up of a lot of amazing authors.
One of the benefits is that you'll become visible. I know a lot of newbies complain about not being visible in a large platform like hive. This is a chance to get your post seen by a lot of authors. When you post using the #pob-wotw tag, your post becomes visible and a lot more people can access what you write, then you can seize the opportunity to make new friends and associates.
Another benefit is that you'll get upvoted. What's the use of writing if you can't get your post to upvoted. It can be really frustrating and hopeless. The pob-wotw contest doesn't only give you a chance to get your post seen, it gives you a chance to get your posts upvoted by a lot of different authors, isn't that amazing?.
You get a chance to win POB and VYB tokens. Yes that's right, this contest doesn't come without a price. The winners get to be rewarded with POB tokens for their efforts and knowing the partnership the Pob and Vyb communities have, you'll also be getting Vyb tokens too. Sounds like killing two birds with one stone.

Coming to Hive, I didn't have any prior experience on writing, I didn't know how to edit posts, talk more of use my creative side. But then the pob-wotw challenged me, reading posts from amazing authors help shaped me to be a better one. You too can enjoy this great privilege, don't let it pass you by.

Well, since it's the start of a new season after a somewhat tiring break, the pob-wotw comes with a continuation from where it stopped, they cannot be evil without good can there?
Last time it was the seven deadly sins and we were asked to write on any one that tickles our fancy but it felt like a lot of us were more greedy than we thought.
This week, it's going to be the opposite, this times it's the seven heavenly virtues listed below:

Thanks for putting this out here. The WOTW sounds intriguing. I will check it out. So, does it matter how long it is? We need to include the tag within the body of work? It just needs to include/be about the word? This will get the brain juices flowing. Thanks for giving an explanation.

Well, it doesn't matter how long it is, but then it'll have to be something really creative and then you can't just write 200words. No, the tag would be among your tags, it'll be the first tag. Yes your post would have to be about the word chosen.
