Reasons why I won’t introduce anyone to HIVE for the main time.

in Proof of Brain2 years ago

Hive has been one of the best things that has happened to me since I was introduced by @marvinix and since started my journey here, not only in the aspect of finances, but also in the area of exposure, education, orientation, the way I live my life and many more. Ever since then, I have introduced countless of people to hive, many ignored completely, some created an account and were no where to be found after their introductory post, some stayed a bit but along the line they lost interest, while only few are active till this present moment and they have different testimonies to show for it. Like the proverb says Many are called, but few are chosen.

Talking of financial freedom, vast education from experienced people across the world, reorientation, and sharing knowledge equally via interaction among everyone irrespective of financial status. One cannot get any of these on any web 2, centralized, social media out there. But ignorantly, many youths waste their lives, time, and resources doing all manner of thing that adds no value to their personal being on those platforms. That was why I decided to keep informing people about HIVE and how it can change their stories for good.

One would agree that Africa needs hive more than any other continent due to the mass record or poverty, general condition of bad governance and leadership, and the need for freedom in the area of speech, finances and self expression. But even with the modern type of slavery we go through in Africa, it still gets very difficult to convince many of us to see the pathway that leads to light and freedom.

Readers are leaders, we know that in Africa but the willingness to read, get enlightened and become a leader is far from what we have. This is why they say **if you want to hide a thing from a black man, hide it between books. No wonder why most Africans still leave like slaves in their own fatherland, ruled by their own people. They are ignorant of their human rights and unwilling to learn. Let’s go back to the reason for the post.

why I would stop introducing people to hive for now.

As much as I would like my people to gain authority over their own lives financially, I would not entrust HIVE into the hands of those who would create accounts only to go ghost after few weeks, or those who would feel to lazy to engage or create original contents. It will disgust you to know how many dormant accounts that has been created on hive in Africa and worldwide.

We need only the people who can add value to hive via their quality engagement, original contents and any other means possible. But unfortunately must people are not willing to undertake that task, they only want in for the rewards, but when it feels like it’s not coming as expected, they abandon their accounts and go back to social media where they get all the pleasantries without having to read bulky contents and earn nothing for it. People like that are the once who stakes absolutely nothing, selling off every single coin that comes in, which is relatively bad for the community.

I understand that things might look difficult from the beginning. I was naive when I joined hive, but through commitment and the willingness to learn and take responsibility, many of us has been able to build an abode here on hive. To whom much is given, much is expected and before much can be given, many more expectations would have been met.

If at all I would be inviting anyone any time soon, I would be looking deeply at the personality and the qualities that the person possesses. I will also be looking at the probability that the person to be invited would be of good value to the community instead of looking at what the community can do for such individual. He or she must fit into some criteria in the aspect of writing, love for reading, open mind to innovation and most of all, he or she should have, or be able to create enough time for engagement on the decentralized platform.

In conclusion….

Good things are not meant for everyone, only for those who are willing to take the responsibility and willing to go extra mile to acquire, and maintain it.

I would appreciate your comments, sharing your experience on people’s reactions when you told them about leaving social media platforms to join Hive.

HAVE A PLEASANT WEEK AHEAD

You're very correct brother, reading is something we Africans see as time wasting or of no value, the only fee who does are becoming well aware of their environment and now has a changed perspective about how the world works, ranging from what's of value and what's not.

An average African only see money as the only thing he or she needs in life while this isn't totally wrong but, looking inward of yourself you will see that there are other things that's much more important than money. Moreover it's just a means of exchange, that's all, what you do with it matters too and tons of it doesn't buy you happiness or good health.

If at all I would be inviting anyone any time soon, I would be looking deeply at the personality and the qualities that the person possesses

💯
I don't know if I would be getting anyone onboard too but if I possible want to later in the future, this is a very important factor I will like to like to consider first.

Have a wonderful week ahead buddy 😊

Monday without wisdom will yield no productivity, might even be taken by those who are knowledgeable enough to value it more.

In view of this money it self has no value until a value is attached to it, when one doesn’t read to broaden his or her knowledge about everything especially money. He lavishes it till it gets finished.

A short story of a young man who’s rich parents had just passed. Due to the spending spirit he had, he started to spend his inheritance at the club and other luxurious places with friends and ladies. A friend of his utilized the little money he could get from the rich orphan during the couple of times they spent together, build businesses and making investments, while the rich orphan kept spending without season.

Years passed, and the orphan gradually became very poor that he could barely feed himself, but the wise friend who grew from nothing with the little he could grab from his rich friend ended up prosperous.

You can see that without knowledge, money is just a matter of time.

Have a blessed week too my friend

It is the only way the ensure that the right people are brought inboard, the rest can learn about it later in the future when hive is widely known across the globe

Hhahhah, 'when hive is widely know in the future '

That is when most people will be grinding their tooth as to why they took hive for granted when they have the chance.

Most people forget that for success to happens one has to put in the work.

Yes oo, we leave them to regret as many people do now over Bitcoin, especially those who new when it was as low $1

People never learn, only few does.

I thought bitcoin will thought everyone some lessons.

Yeah you are actually correct about you saying Africans needing Hive the more bcos the vast rising economic recession and poverty level is very alarming.

I personally trying to manage my time with School work , personal work and finally trying to read and get something to write on Hive has been so stressful.

I agree with you, we all have different things to do competing with the time for hive. I have this too, I am not talking about those who try to create time out of tight schedules, I am actually talking of those who feel reluctant to try even when they have all the time in the world
