From time to time, I explore some L2 tokens on Hive-Engine to see if there’s anything interesting to dip my toes into. It’s just a casual visit to the token list to check whether there are any offers, new use cases, or even enticing deals that might encourage others to participate, and of course, I’ll be sharing whatever I find. I don’t like gatekeeping the ones that seem worth taking part in.

Today, I think I’ve found something that will interest others as well: the POB token. I believe many have heard of this token before because it’s one of the OG HE tokens that has existed as long as the more popular ones like SPS, LEO, and many others. So it makes me wonder why it has been off my radar until now, LOL. Anyway, better late than never, right? So yeah, let me share what I’ve found and my thoughts about the POB token.
I actually learned about it through Snaps or In Waves when other Hivers were posting about their Hive earnings from delegating POB to the POB.VOTER account. At first, I thought it was too good to be true. It basically reverses the usual setup where a Hive user delegates HP to an L2 account to earn the L2 token, I thought this was the standard model for all L2 projects, until I found out about POB. They reversed the setup, and that really caught my attention.
To test it out, about a week ago I started tagging my content with #proofofbrain and #pob to see if the curators would consider my posts aligned with their community guidelines. Thankfully, they did, and my posts made the cut. I was happy about that because I earned some POB tokens from it.
The first thing I did with my POB rewards was stake them and delegate them to the POB.VOTER account. I’ve been doing this for a week now, claiming my POB earnings, staking them, and delegating again, and I finally received my first delegation rewards. Awesome!
It works! And the most surprising part is that the earnings seem to be quite lucrative.

I did a rough calculation, and the result is around 58% APR, which is amazing. That seems to be the highest APR I’ve seen so far for an L2 token delegation.
Because of that, I decided to invest more by buying additional POB tokens through BeeSwap. I bought another 1,000 POB tokens for less than 10 Swap.Hive, which is pretty affordable.

I then repeated the same process, staking and delegating them to the POB.VOTER account. As of now, I have a total of over 1,260 POB tokens staked and delegated.

Of course, I’ll continue stacking more POB, both through posting and regular purchases, to speed up my growth.
My goal is to eventually stake 100,000 POB tokens and delegate them to POB.VOTER to earn passive Hive income from it.
Overall, my experience with POB has been both fun and rewarding, and it’s sparked a renewed interest in exploring Hive’s L2 ecosystem. With consistent staking and delegation, the potential for passive Hive income is genuinely motivating. I’m looking forward to sharing more updates as my POB journey continues.

Be careful, mate. I believe the payouts come from pob.bank which only currently had 2.5 liquid hive sat in there. I did think pob had been abandoned long ago but maybe I'm wrong. It was another community that had a big falling out and split from which came vyb tokens!
Yeah, I heard about that history too… that’s why I’m observing closely. For now the rewards are functioning, but I’m keeping an eye on the sustainability as well. Thanks man!
I’ve always used POB tag to earn. I recently sold a bunch as I decided to trim all my tribe tokens but I hold enough to get the dividend. Pizza token is the most worth staking, it will give you almost 100% of its value per year via votes. Literally the author reward half of its votes is 100% returned in 12 months. 10K pizza is the best return.

Thanks for the insight! I didn’t know Pizza staking had returns that high... that’s impressive. I’ll check it out too while continuing my POB journey. Appreciate the tips! 🍕🔥

LOHtokens.@geneeverett, you successfully shared 0.1000 LOH with @curamax and you earned 0.1000 LOH as tips. (7/11 calls)
Use !LADY command to share LOH! More details available in this post.
Thanks for sharing this. I do have some POB lying around, I can give it a try too
Go for it bro! If you have some POB sitting idle, delegating them is a nice way to put them to work. Hope you get good results! 😄💪
Thanks for the tip.
I still had 970 pob staked, so decided to delegate 750 to pob.voter.
Nice move! Delegating old idle POB is a win... at least it earns something instead of just sitting there. Hope you get good returns!
This is what I call multiple streams of income 😂,@curamax I will go check it out at TribalDex, thank you for updating.
You’re welcome, glad you found it useful! 😄 Multiple streams for sure haha. Definitely worth a look on TribalDex/Beeswap... just start small, test it out, and see if it fits your strategy. 💪🐝
@curamax i will surely do pal,I already had some few POB, just for me to increase the figure.Once again thank you for updating.
i thought pob is no longer active. how do you stake pob to pob.voter?
I'm not sure what happened in the past but it seems they reignited POB 😎😁 I'm using Beeswap
https://beeswap.dcity.io/wallet/engine
I think it has a good frontend for Hive-Engine stuff 👍
what about the ccd token? did you still stake your ccd token?
Unfortunately, it seems there were issues with the project, development ceased, and many of the services were shut down. Because of that, I already unstaked my CCD tokens.
Hopefully, they reignite the project someday because it still has a lot of potential. If they resume development, I’ll definitely consider buying and staking again.
How about you... what are your plans for your CCD tokens?
is the hsbi generator not working anymore? i just staked some ccd token now.
I believe it is still working though I can't confirm because the last time i used is a month ago.
Please share some updates, thanks!
I was pretty sure the POB token was dead long ago, especially when they made some mistake with the issuance of tokens on launch. Is there any actually official announcement from whoever runs/controls POB? Would be pretty interested in digging into the details. 😁
Same here, that’s why I double-checked. Haven’t seen a recent official announcement yet, but the system is still working. I’ll dig deeper and share updates once I find anything solid.

Thank you for the information
How did you know you received support from proof of brain?
I noticed the main POB account is upvoting my posts with the #proofofbrain & #pob tags. You may also try using the tag to your post mate.

I want to learn how to move large amounts of money to HBD without loosing much money on the transaction
If you’re moving large amounts to HBD... trading it via the internal market are also usually the cheapest.
I don't suggest using the on-chain "convert" method because of the 5% fee.
I have used the 3rd party Swap services and so i can't really tell more about them.
It’s totally free to do on chain. Literally.
What are u guys talking about?
https://wallet.hive.blog/market
U are just trading with others on other end. Where is there a 5% fee?
Are u talking about one of the front ends separate market? Just use the main one at original front end. No 5% fee!
It looks like this ⬇️
Hi, thanks for joining in. Yes, you are right that the internal market doesn’t have a fee. However, due to the low volume, @jza might still lose some value because of slippage. I would say it’s okay to trade around $1k to $5k HBD there, but it may be better to break it down into smaller trades.
The other option I mentioned—the on-chain Hive–HBD Convert, which has a 5% fee—is available directly in your wallet. Here’s a screenshot of how it looks on PeakD.
So far, I haven’t seen a really good option for trading large amounts into HBD without significant loss. Hopefully, Magi Network’s Altera will help solve this soon. Maybe they’ll be capable of building liquidity pools worth millions for Hive–HBD–Hive in the future.
You just use limit orders. It would fill within half hour or less with no slippage. Generally speaking. I have never had an issue where an order doesn’t fill unless price totally collapses during that 20 - 45 minute period. Makes no sense paying a fee when u can just do a strict limit order where you can price so there’s no slippage. Unless you’re in emergency and can’t wait 10 or 20 minutes but otherwise it will fill 99% of time within that time where u name exact price avoiding any slippage.
!LADY !PIZZA !ALIVE
Right… limit orders are definitely the safest way to avoid slippage on the internal market. Thanks for the feedback man!
While 3rd party Swap services will have much higher slippage than the on-chain 5% fee... here's the BEE Swap service slippage for a $5k worth of Hive, quite high at 18%++
Bottom line the volume anywhere for Hive is tiny compared to Bitcoin or other larger markets. This issue is anywhere. A limit order fixes this. Won’t be instant but selling or buying all at once a sum of 200K value in dollars will be better value using limit and slow transaction to avoid moving market all at once.
Good point… Hive’s low volume really makes limit orders the best option. Waiting a bit for the fills is still better than taking big slippage.
Yeah moving 1 or 2 Bitcoin will be quite a bag.
Of course, but that’s because Hive volume is tiny. Has nothing to do with where u trade it. If u use a limit order you pay no fee or slippage but yeah might take time to fill and complete, but that’s anywhere due to the low volume in Hive. !PIZZA !LADY !ALIVE
Huh? There’s no fee at all when u turn hive into HBD. Not sure what front end u use but the original there is not a fee lole that
https://wallet.hive.blog/market
There is a spread and low liquidity might take a limit order to fill out.
