As I have written about a few times, it can be difficult to decide which Level 2/Hive-Engine projects to support, here in our ecosystem.
One of the more consistent and relatively stable projects — or so I thought — was the DHEDGE project, which included a "drip dividend" type token, several liquidity pools, a staking/rewards token, Hive delegation rewards... and I'm sure I missed a few other things.
A few weeks ago — about the same time as the primary Hive database hack disrupted certain services on Hive — it seemed like "things stopped working."
As is typical for the Cryptosphere, things have a way of just ending, and often quite suddenly.
After a period of silence since February, there was an annoucement yesterday that the DHEDGE "group" was shutting down. Included in this statement, a further announcement that the ARCHON community and token is looking to be taken over by new ownership.
Pivoting... Once Again
DHEDGE was one of the "investment" tokens that has been in my building plans for for about 18 months, and was a part of my goals for 2024... and that's just not happening now, sadly.
It just all goes to show how things often go, and how risky this whole landscape is... and how few things actually last beyond a year or two.
With one more project off my goals list, I am now left to speculate what is worthwhile getting into. I have contemplated just throwing in with everyone else and climbing onboard with the INLEO crowd, but it doesn't quite sit right with me, especially since my "sister account" @curatorcat.leo is already invested in that.
Which leaves me looking at the ALIVE project as my potential new focus area...
Or I could just give up on the whole Layer two idea and go back to just focusing on Hive blogging and engagement, and investing my liquid rewards in interest bearing HBD.
For the moment, I guess I'll just take a "wait and see" approach.
