Notion is a good knowledge management system. And it worked! It has managed to be popular alternative to keeping a lot of word document or even making tons of google sheets in some cases. So the new product called notion is gaining a lot of popularity is growing.
Notion is great and other companies are making their own clones of the notion. I have seen the google is in process to work on something like that. And microsoft too built a project called the loop which would be used in their 365 soon.

Say you want to include the file from the 365 account and the other places like say teams. You can now do that using the Microsoft loop. Like you can tag the files, people and also the various set of the document. You can easily build the native service around the loop too.
You will find that most of the features of the Loop are similar to the notion. Except the database part where that seems to be missing. And there are not many layouts as of yet. In near future that is going to be changing for sure as there are limited formatting options as of yet.
If you like working with notion. Then I suppose with the 365 support in the microsofts domain you would be enjoying the loop too. Some of the services that you would find with the notion that would be possible with the loop too. So that seems like a good option for you to try out in that case.
Loop Formatting Options
I feel like notion has made a lot of progress in that part. Where the formating is done using the forward slash. And then another set of option comes out. As of now there is not much in the slash command but soon there will be.
Another thing to consider is that loop has pretty cool formatting system. So one should consider thinking on the right set of the notes for the connecting of the pages. Once you do that it would be reasonable to get them to work as well.
I am pretty sure that the loop is going to grow like the notion. And with all the support from the existing microsoft publishing apps and so on that would make it more powerful and people are more likely to use that product. And there is a chance for them to make a lot of money too.
Notion has a good competition now. They had some good run and growth but now the big giants are going to be entering into the system. But we are going to be seeing there are some really good output for the loop as of now if they continue to grow.
