Last night was one of those night where you know everything will feel better in the morning - when the sun rises.
The sun rose today, and strangely - it didn't get better. It seems like it ALWAYS gets better when the sun rises. But today, my brain decided it was going to ignore the sun.
That was fine. I had a lot of work to do, and no time for silly rebellions of my brain. So I got right down to it. The day started to get a bit later, and I realized if I didn't start my steps soon, I wouldn't make my #automaticwin - so I began multi-tasking lol Started walking - then pausing after reading a post, and making a comment. I did this a few times and felt like I was making progress.
Then I started to listen to some of the openmic entries from last week, and that was super fun! I loaded about 7 tabs and just listened to the music while I was walking. As I looked at the time, I realized - I wasn't going to make it. I shouldn't have been pausing to write comments earlier. I should have done my workout and THEN went back to commenting. But... I decided to just keep trying.
With 30 minutes left, I thought - there's no way I'm going to make it! Unless, I start jogging! hahahaa
So - I started jogging and working up a sweat.
15 minutes left - I might as well just stop and finish later, since I'm not going to hit the 10k by 10am now!
no no nooooo don't give up - just see how far you can get!!!
So I pushed, and pushed, and at 9:57 - I looked at my steps and if i JUST KEPT PUSHING - I was actually going to do it!!!!!!!
at 9:59 - i did it! I saw the clock - saw my steps - but wait! hahahaha it was actually 10 am on my phone! LOLOL
I quickly took the picture and was SO GLAD that I had taken it then - or else when my CLOCK said 10 - it would have actually been 10:01 for my screenshot! LOLOL
I was so glad I happened to look at the time right then and take the screenshot.
Not only that - I was so thrilled that I hadn't given up. I had fully convinced myself that I wasn't going to be able to do it. And had I given into that mentality - I WOULDN'T have done it.
But so many times we have to just keep trying. Just see how far you CAN get. Even if you don't make it - just try!
After that - the day quickly went downhill from there. fast.
And I found myself trying to keep encouraging myself with those same thoughts - dont' give up! Just keep trying. It can't hurt to try!
I wonder if the sun will break through tomorrow and defeat my brain's rebellion hehehe Most likely. and if not, then it will be another battle. But - I won today. So, that's something.
Proof of my #automaticwin

I really use the tags just to be sure that others know its an option! :)
but you are way too generous with your votes with me anyway! hehehehe I dont mind you spreading the love around to others who are doing well! hehehehe
It felt like I was on this move with you. The running, reading a post and commenting, stopping to get a glimpse of what you have read to comment on is just a way to kill two birds with one stone.
Multi-tasking is such a fine approach to solving problems and meeting up with a schedule.
