I think you nailed it when you said - its all about perception.
It's the same reason why things are prices as $9.99 instead of $10 in the US.
For some reason, our brains see that penny difference as a dollar difference instead. We focus on what we are tricked into focusing on.
I agree with you. If we used our brains, things would be different. hahaha
But I think you know, most people do NOT use their brains. Most people use their eyes.
And that is why things happen as they do.
Because companies do not usually sell value. They sell perception.
so does it matter if they burn? Yep.
Because people hand over their money to what is the PERCEIVED value.
So you say it doesn't matter, but if the world shows that it does matter - because they are easily controlled by perception - then.... it does matter ;)
And in order to have a system that is logical - and also perceived as valuable - you need to be a master of demonstrating that value to both those who use their brain, and those who use their eyes.
Which means - you have to value BOTH types of people.
which is where you would struggle hehehehe
