I visited a nearby wood to check for bluebells, which typically bloom in late April and early May depending on the weather. I was pleased to find some had emerged, as just a few days prior there were none. It's surprising how quickly they can appear.
In the coming weeks, we can expect a much more widespread display as many more blue and purple flowers will emerge, covering the ground.
I always think this tree looks pretty when the yellow dandelions come through at the base. They are often considered a weed, but I appreciate them for their bright yellow flowers, and the bees love them.
I later visited the cupola, a historic site that once served as a lead smelting facility, originally used for melting iron and other metals back in 1770.
Next to the cupola is a small pond. In the summer, there will be lots of butterflies and dragonflies flitting around the place. It's something to look forward to.
I didn’t notice the lost teddy bear sitting on the stonewall at first, as it blended in with the stone. It looks a bit worn now.
I squeezed past the gorse bush but couldn’t go any further. Recent rain made the ground quite boggy, so I decided to cut my walk short.

I find the bluebells very soothing to look at. They're beautiful. That chimney is so tall. I didn't notice the teddy bear either, haha. I had to look at it twice.
I'm hoping someone might come back for the teddy bear ... if they can see it. 😁
