Como en algunos post les contado, el negocio familiar es de flores naturales, flores artificiales y decoraciones en general, pero hay un dicho en Venezuela que reza: “Casa de herrero, cuchillo de palo “, estoy quiere decir que no siempre tenemos en nuestro hogar la misma constancia por el trabajo que hacemos y por el cual vivimos como fuera de ella y a veces pasan cosas algo fastidiosas.
As I told you in some posts, the family business is of natural flowers, artificial flowers and decorations in general, but there is a saying in Venezuela that says: "Casa de herrero, cuchillo de palo", this means that we do not always have in our home the same constancy for the work we do and for which we live as outside of it and sometimes things happen something annoying.

Esto hizo que sacáramos el ingenio y preparáramos algo rápido, pero que lograra una sonrisa en quienes lo vieran.

Hace unas semanas en horas de la mañana llamo una de mis tias recordándole a mi mama sobre el cumpleaños de una de mis primas segundas, se llama Yuliet Dariana, apenas tiene 15 años, pero como no somos muy cercanos no recordamos su cumpleaños. Lo cierto es que mi tía llamo y nos pidió si podíamos colaborar con algo para la pequeña fiesta que le celebrarían. Y… ¿Cómo no hacerlo? No contábamos con que no había nada hecho y ese día estaría tan cargado de trabajo que olvidaríamos por completo la petición cuando llegamos a casa ya a las 6 pm. 😝
A few weeks ago in the morning one of my aunts called reminding my mom about the birthday of one of my second cousins, her name is Yuliet Dariana, she is only 15 years old, but as we are not very close we do not remember her birthday. The truth is that my aunt called and asked us if we could collaborate with something for the little party they would celebrate for her. And... How could we not? We didn't count on the fact that nothing was done and that day would be so loaded with work that we would completely forget the request when we got home already at 6 pm. 😝
El problema comenzó cuando mi madre pregunto el color en que le harían la fiesta y por supuesto que no esperábamos que ella lo pidiera azul, pero tampoco es algo raro. Pero ok todo bien. Hasta que revisamos y ya eran las 7 pm y no nos trajimos nada de ese color, hubo que salir corriendo hasta el negocio a buscar lo que pudiéramos.
The problem started when my mother asked what color the party would be and of course we didn't expect her to ask for blue, but it's not unusual either. But ok everything was fine. Until we checked and it was already 7 pm and we didn't bring anything in that color, we had to run to the store to get what we could.
Pero aun a contra reloj y con cariño se hace algo y el ingenio de mi mamá es increíble. 😊
But even against the clock and with love something is done and my mom's ingenuity is incredible.
Esta es una pequeña muestra de los arreglos que hacemos en el negocio y que son económicos pero muy lindos. Combinados y de contrastes. Las mariposas junto con muchas de las decoraciones son hechas por nosotros a mano.
This is a small sample of the arrangements we make in the store, which are inexpensive but very pretty. Combinations and contrasts. The butterflies along with many of the decorations are handmade by us.
Un arreglo muy sencillo que sería un pequeño presente para su celebración junto a las pequeñas decoraciones que se le pudieron regalar, pero que provocaron que por unas horas ella fuera realmente una niña muy feliz junto a sus amigos y familiares cercanos. Aun en tiempos de covid, debemos recordar todos estos pequeños gestos y ser más humanos.
A very simple arrangement that would be a small present for her celebration along with the small decorations that could be given to her, but that caused that for a few hours she was really a very happy girl with her close friends and family. Even in times of covid, we must remember all these small gestures and be more human.
