Like you, I probably have been a pretty good listener. Probably still am, with a condition: that I am not under stress or focused on something while someone tries to tell me something. I'm not always a great listener then. So there is room for improvement. But I also know people who rarely hear what the other person is saying. Even more, they don't give them the chance to say anything, because they do all the talking... 😄

In another comment, I shared my experience in Spain, where that kind of attitude is a lot more visible... People like to talk at the same time, and nobody is listening... lol... I used to watch Spanish TV with Spanish subtitles (to practice writing and listening at the same time), and many times, in Spanish movies, you could see subtitles like this:

Hablan a la vez...

Which means

Talking at the same time...

Even subtitles can't catch up with everything that is said... 🤣
