Mixture Monochrome Monday It's been a heck of a last few days in the house.. sickness rears its ugly head again! It's definitely been a brutal winter so far, and we are definitely looking forward to the springtime when this crap goes away lol.  Posted In: hiking | Giant stone pillars from a bygone era stand amidst the forest. The people who built these are long gone and so are the wooden trestles holding up the tracks which made up this bridge. These weren't constructed by the ancients, they were made in 1885 when the Canadian Pacific Railway first came through these parts. The Loop Brook trail follows a figure eight that was made to lessen the grade so trains could make it through The Selkirk mountains are high, trains can't go up or down steep tracks without derailing or literally running out of steam so the track has to wind up the pass in a loop. The loop was short lived, going over the pass was simply too dangerous. Trains would frequently derail or the tracks would be wiped out by avalanches ... |

I always feel the excitement and adrenaline of checking out spots or locations that seem interesting to my eyes. So whenever I get a chance to visit a new place, I never say no as an answer. Living in the province gave me the privilege to enjoy a good day at the beach, a mountain, or a river. And recently, I get to witness another spot that is great for outdoor fun and unwind with nature. It is a resort built just along the Pundaquit River here in San Antonio, Zambales ... |
