I want to highlight points that I have been noticing and analyzing not only in POB, but in general.
Do we lack curators? The answer for me is: Yes! Lack. In addition to improving the work performed by some.
But, we ran into the problem that nobody is obligated to anything lol. So let's forget about that part.
Here at POB and one of the problems that has been in recent times was the way in which rewards and votes were distributed. Over time, more people join and the lesser the job of getting better votes. Which is super normal.
But, today I see that only @onealfa.pob has been playing a curator role. This is because he holds many POB POWER and can share better. @calumam was another one who had been doing a good curation along with the trail he was following. And I see that many are held hostage by these two just for their posts to be "cured" and "seen" by everyone. And that's what I'm not going to go into about post quality.
To others, I may perhaps be wrong. But the criteria that follow don't seem to me to have a real curator distribution. Apart from the fact that the work @amr008 has been doing, which is based on comments, the others and even the ADM itself kind of vote once in a while, and depending on the post. And that doesn't have any problem as I had already commented.
But something that catches my attention is the lack of curators, people for this kind of main work. Because when one of these top ones takes a vacation, the rewards distributed will drop even further.
Mainly in the contests, I believe there should be curators to support the projects of all participants (those if they follow all the rules and according to what was requested) in order to promote and give more votes to more users for POB.
We have few people with high POWER which may be the problem, where some do it, some don't, some just for sport or when the mood strikes. Which in the end, again I say that there is no problem in the end.
But if we want to be seen and have quality in our tribe. We need curators and the more people who start in POB, the more curators will be needed.
I don't know, this post will be seen or will be discussed. But, I would like the OVERALL opinion regarding the curatorship work or curatorship projects for POB. And mainly aligning this with the contests, a way to promote and encourage more people to participate.

Quero destacar pontos que eu venho notando e analisando não só no POB, mas em geral.
Nos falta curadores? A resposta para mim é: Sim! Falta. Além de melhorar o trabalho desempenhado por alguns.
Mas, esbarramos no problema que ninguém é obrigado a nada lol. Então vamos esquecer dessa parte.
Aqui no POB e um dos problemas que foi nos últimos tempos era a maneira de distribuição das recompensas e votos. Com o tempo, mais pessoas entram e menor é o trabalho de ganhar melhores votos. O que é super normal.
Mas, hoje eu olho que somente o @onealfa.pob vem desempenhando um papel de curador. Isso pelo fato dele deter muitos POB POWER e poder dividir melhor. @calumam era outro que vinha fazendo uma boa curadoria junto com a trilha que seguia. E vejo que muitos ficam refém desses dois apenas para seus posts serem "curados" e "vistos" por todos. E isso que eu não vou entrar no mérito sobre qualidade de postagem.
Aos demais, posso talvez estar errado. Mas os critérios que seguem não me parecem ter uma distribuição de curador de verdade. Tirando o fato do trabalho que o @amr008 vem fazendo que é baseado nos comentários, os demais e até o próprio ADM votam meio que uma vez ou outra, e dependendo do post. E isso não tem problema algum como eu já havia comentado.
Mas algo que me chama atenção é falta curadores, pessoas para esse tipo de trabalho principal. Pois quando um desses principais tirar férias, as recompensas distribuídas ainda vão cair mais.
Principalmente nos concursos, eu acredito que deveria ter curadores para apoiar os projetos de todos os participantes (esses se tiverem seguindo todas as regras e de acordo com o que foi solicitado) para poder promover e dar mais votos a mais usuários pelo POB.
Temos poucas pessoas com POWER alto o que pode ser que isso seja o problema, onde alguns fazem, outros não, alguns apenas por esporte ou quando dá vontade. O que no fim, novamente volto a dizer que não tem problema no fim das contas.
Mas, se quisermos ser vistos e termos qualidade em nossa tribo. Precisamos de curadores e quanto mais pessoas começam no POB, mais será necessário de curadores.
Não sei, esse post será visto ou entrará em discussão. Mas, gostaria da opinião GERAL referente ao trabalho de curadoria ou projetos de curadoria para o POB. E principalmente alinhar isso junto com os concursos, uma maneira de promover e incentivar mais pessoas a participar.
Yes! And I believe there are people curating but they just don't have a large vote (yet).
As for myself, I check new, hot and trending every day and curate there.
But to be honest, I feel there is a lack of quality posts coming in at the moment.
So I am not voting as much as I normally am (or atleast it feels like it for me).

I've been doing my curation like that too. As our votes are small in value, it may not show up much.
My follower friends feed practically gets almost full votes every time, both here at POB and LEO where I've been curating.
But I call attention to curators with good wishes to support some projects and content.

I don't think they are missing, but yeah but we have currently limited no of curators with huge pob power. More than that it also depends on their activeness and curation trail. I would like to point out that since I have been posting on POB I have seen majority of curation work done by only a group of curators. Few you already mentioned but many others are there too. I also want to mention @richardcrill @trostparadox @leprechaun @scholaris.pob these guys also doing amazing work. Also not to forget many new curators are getting on board slowly. It's a collective effort, we need everything and everyone to make POB great. I am having high hopes with @proofofbrainio , we need him more active on the platform.

That's why I highlighted the most active ones and who work closer to a curatorship. The others are doing their part, if it's a work curatorship itself I don't know... But I say in the matter of reaching the greatest number of users by creating decent content, mainly

Voting for everything is autovoting - which just encourages a bunch of shit to be posted
Certainly. The idea is not to vote for everything. Also because that would not be wise and correct for growth.
But yes, in the matter of people who are interacting, creating decent content and especially contests. This even to promote.
However, only winning votes if you are within the rules with a decent post ;D
I've made post curation limited to New tab when I'm online, most of my votes go to PobTalk prize giving.

É por isso que estamos em falta de curadores. A comunidade cresce e não tem como atingir todo mundo. Dos quais realmente estão trabalhando e criando conteúdos bons.

É triste ver essa dependência de 2 ou 3 curadores, deveria haver muito mais gente trabalhando nisso, o fato é que curadoria é bom para ambos e não só para quem está recebendo o voto.
Eu faço o que posso com meu voto, mas sou limitado com o baixo valor. Tenho pensado em buscar alguma delegação para fazer esse papel d curador, mas parece difícil encontrar quem queira delegar. Aparentemente não é de interesse dos que possuem os maiores stakes. E isso é paradoxal, principalmente no Pob, onde a ideia é haver uma remuneração baseada em qualidade, e isso praticamente não acontece!

Eu costumo sempre fazer uma curadoria manual e distribuir meus votos da melhor maneira possível, mas ainda tenho um poder muito baixo.... espero que isso mude no futuro

Ya, it is tough to do that. I am trying, but there are way too many new posts for one person to attempt to read. Typically people who have commented on my posts, I am more likely to read as I recognize them.
Acho que a melhor solução que pudemos encontrar para isso é nos tornarmos curadores. Eu já refleti bastante sobre essa questão da falta de curadoria também, mas não há muito o que fazer além de contar com a sorte.
Por isso que meu foco agora está em escrever sobre o que quero e da forma que eu quero, sem pensar muito em recompensas grandes. Porque já aconteceu de eu fazer textos elaborados e não receber o que acho que o post merecia; e não há nada que eu possa fazer quando sentir isso. Não é meu direito cobrar.
Tentarei, na medida do possível, aumentar cada vez mais meu poder de voto pra que minhas recompensas não dependa apenas de meus posts e consequentemente, para que eu possa contar cada vez menos com votos de outras pessoas.
Exato, eu venho desde sempre escrevendo as coisas que eu gosto no POB que seria a essência do pob mesmo eu sabendo também que no fim não vai dar bons votos porque o pessoal gosta mais de polêmica hahahaha

Delegations may save this. If those who are just autoupvoting and earning curation rewards, will delegate to those non noticed curators who has a little upvote, more curators will be seen. Of course it's the role of the team to create contests to win delegations. I don't think stakeholders are so interested in that. But maybe if someone will go to vocation, will do that to support the platform. But, I still think that the team should distribute delegations, by contests, initiatives and anything that people may do for delegations. Good deletations, not 100 or 500. Like 1 thousands or a few.
It's exactly this train of thought I have too.
Contests to reward delegations are always good for community growth.
I think I'm getting more curation and attention on POB than any other place on the web.
Oh, that's for sure. Even if that's how it is, it's still a lot compared to many other places.
Anyway, I believe we have room to improve and increase this.
You are right we have a lot to grow. And each user plays a part in the curation process although the whales are more influential.
