In Trading “Wants” Are Based Upon Wishful Thinking

You hear people say “I want the price of bitcoin to dip or drop so I can buy more”. Sometimes you also hear them say “I want the price of bitcoin to go up so I can sell it”. These are just wishful thinkers, the market doesn’t care about anyone’s wants or expectations.

Don’t try to be bullish because you are expecting the price to go up and don’t try to go bearish because you want and are expecting the price to go down. It doesn’t work that way, you will get trapped and your ego will not allow you take your loss and leave the market. You find yourself being sentimental to your wishful thoughts.

In trading all you have to do is your research and put your wishful thinking aside. Focus on the markets behavior, it’s analysis and metrics. But unfortunately the whales and the Maxis don’t want that for retail investors like you and I. They want retail investors to invest with emotions so they can take advantages of us the retail investors.

Sometimes wishful thinking can give you profit. Let’s take for instance, the high price spike and impact gotten from Dogecoin’s bullish run was a matter of wishful thinking controlled by the masses but that was a one in a million opportunities.
