Space stations of the future

The international space station is getting very outdated, the first module of this base that we have in space was launched on November 20, 1998 and the current plan is that it ends up being abandoned in 2030, that year 2030 or maybe 2031, will be when proceed to deorbit the station causing it to fall in a controlled manner on point Nemo, which is the name of the most isolated place on earth located in the South Pacific.

When that happens, it will be the largest man-made structure to enter the Earth's atmosphere, but what will happen next will be the end of space stations, no, let alone in the 2030s we will see the construction of a new international space station. it is even possible that others are built by private companies for industrial research purposes or as tourism.

In addition, there will be the Chinese space station and it is possible that we will see a Russian space station, that there will also be another station orbiting the moon within the international program Artemis or Artemis, for this reason there are large companies designing future stations in space and a one of them is the European Airbus.

Their project is the airbus Loop, a multipurpose orbital module that can be integrated into any future space station, has a diameter of 8 meters and a similar length, offering close to 100 cubic meters of volume, the airbus Loop is designed to fit the new generation of Super Heavy Launchers, capable of launching a complete module in one piece, therefore once in orbit the Loop would be immediately ready to host humans and payloads.

The airbus Loop consists of three levels, in its original design it would have a housing deck, a science deck and something new, it would also have a centrifugal deck that can create artificial gravity conditions for the crew, thus reducing stress and risks. health problems caused by weightlessness in the human body.

The decks are connected in the center through the so-called tunnel that is surrounded by a structure of greenhouse on the axis of the modules, the airbus Loop is designed for a crew of four, however it could temporarily accommodate up to 8 astronauts at a time, plus it is compatible with all current and future vehicles.

No, far from it in the 1930s we will see the construction of a new station international space, it is even possible that others are built by private companies for industrial research purposes or as tourism.

I think you meant 2030's.

Thanks for a great report!

That's correct, I was wrong... Thanks for the correction.

Thanks a lot!
