Life teaches us valuable lessons

Talking about learning life lessons, I consider experience to be one of the good ways to learn these lessons.

My life is filled with these experiences and I'm not quick to forget anything that tends to improve my life. I hold these experiences at my fingertips and I make decisions that reflect how experienced I am.

You'd know that "experience is said to be the best teacher". Eh?

This line has been used since antiquity so, believe me when I say that it sounds cliche whenever people shoot it on my face. But here I am, saying the same thing as a reminder to us because it's still a fact that should never be overlooked.

That being said, we've got to position ourselves well so that we can acquire as many experiences as possible, learn from these experiences, and subsequently live a better life while making good decisions.

I for one, know that this is a good way to learn important life lessons and I will be sharing 2 valuable life lessons I hold at my fingertips.

1. Perfection doesn't happen right away

In the words of Haruki Murakami,

Everybody has to start somewhere.
You have your whole future ahead of you.
Perfection doesn’t happen right away.

This is where we all need to learn about the importance of Consistency, which of course is very valuable if we want to reach our Eureka moment in anything we are doing.

Who wouldn't want to hit big figures from the first day of their start-up?

I bet everyone wants to record this level of success, but that's not always the result. We've got to start somewhere first and take the necessary steps towards growing until we reach perfection.

2. The result will come as far as we are ready to try more.

According to Lailah Gifty Akita,

Try, try, and try again. Never stop trying.

Failure is part of our success story and should be treated like that. It can hit us when we feel that we are already prepared to achieve what we want. At that point - to our greatest surprise, things can go South and we will be left with memories of how we failed to achieve success.

I learned early enough that trying harder after each failed attempt is an important deciding factor in our success story. In this case, it becomes important for us to be resilient in what we are doing.

Never give up, keep moving. The result will come in due time.

Do recall that our personal experience is not the only way to learn.

In addition to whatever experience you have, it's left for you to explore additional ways to learn. We can also learn from other people's experiences by watching educative videos, listening to podcasts, reading books, and attend seminars.

As far as you are alive, you have a lot of valuable lessons to learn.

Don't take it for granted!

Experiences are the best way to learn. Personal experience tell us what works for us and what not. There can be things working for others but not for us. In this case personal experiences are the reauired lesson.
Good luck for the contest @kenechukwu97

Brought to this post by @dreemport .

The Importance of Experiencs in shaping how we do things can not be overemphasized especially at a time like this.

Everyone have their experiences, but we need to be serious enough to work with these experiences.

My take away from this post is that there is no substitute for experience. I quote a famous South Africa Golfer, Gary Player, a lot lol. He famously said " the more I practise, the luckier I get". You don't get good at something but simply wishing for it; you have to put in the effort in order to reap the rewards. As Murukami says "perfection doesn't happen right away". Another quote I have come across which I love and which illustrates your second point beautifully is this by NBA basketball icon Michael Jordan who said "I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." source. Kene, your post makes such great points. It inspires. Thank you for sharing. I came to your post via #dreemport

the more I practise, the luckier I get

That quote by Gary is indeed a nice one and it can yield good results when applied diligently.

Now more than ever, it has become Important for us to take note of these lifehacks and subsequently apply it in every aspect of our life.

Everyone wants to be successful. This is a good way to get there.

I too believe that life experiences are the best teacher and our experiences personally cannot teach us everything, we need to learn from other people's experience and mistakes.
All risk and failures are also part of our success stories in life, our mistakes, the bad decisions we took, the wrong actions and words we use are our own life experiences that we learn from and I don't believe that someone will make a mistake today and still fall back to make such a mistake in the future.

You are on point. We have a lot to learn from our environment and experiences.

It's really ridiculous for someone to make the same mistake repeatedly but from what I'm seeing, alot of people do that. Some people never learns.

Thanks Alot for your contribution to this.

You are welcome 😃

Life teaches us good things, only if we pay heed to the positive learning it provides to us.Diverting mind to positive directions can help us to be a good student of life.

@kenechukwu97,keep up the good write,

And I believe that we all need to be good students of life because life has alot to teach us.

Let's learn and Embrace all the teachings

Hello @kenechukwu97. Nice article you share to remind us about life lessons. You are correct in that individuals should learn from not only their own failure but also from seeing or reading about others' experiences that didn't fare well.

There are numerous opportunities to receive life lessons. The key is whether the person is open to receiving the values or lessons taught.

Thanks for sharing. Have a good weekend.

Thanks for your feedback.

Like you said, there are alot of life lessons out there and we have endless pool of materials to learn from.

On the other hand, we've got to be ready to learn else, all these experiences would make no difference in our lives.

The quote from Murakami is very heartwarming. It's important not to put too much pressure on yourself and allow yourself to live in 'the flow'.
