How to Control Emotions to prevent harming yourself

in Proof of Brain3 years ago

Emotions are reactions that arise in humans. Emotions cannot be separated from humans, in the sense that we cannot eliminate emotions but relieve emotions.

Everyone has emotions, but not everyone can be emotional. Here are some ways to control emotions:

Think and be positive....

We may not be able to change a bad situation that befalls us, but we can change our perspective to see the situation in a more positive way. Also, try to calm yourself down by taking a deep breath and then closing your eyes. Be aware of your present being, feelings, and thoughts, including your surroundings. This can make us more aware and have a more positive attitude in responding to things.

Do fun activities.

Doing fun activities can have a positive effect on our lives, but remember things are fun for everyone, because many things please us, but not for others.Do what is useful for yourself and also for others, then your emotions will be controlled.

Avoid situations that can trigger emotions, avoid situations that can make us emotional.

For example, if we get irritated easily when in a hurry or get stuck in traffic, we can set a time to leave when the traffic is not too busy. When there is a commotion anywhere, try to avoid it for a while.
Avoiding does not mean running away from problems, it's just to relieve emotions, because when our emotions are controlled, all problems are safely under control.

with us applying these three steps, hopefully our emotions will be controlled.
