A little bit of lesser known behind the scenes of how BEE token is useful for the tribes on the Hive platform:
- If you don't host your tribe's website on a webserver you provide Hive-Engine will host the website as long as the tribe stakes 2 BEE for each account holding a non-dust amount of the tribe's token up to a max of 5,000 staked BEE. All the tribe has to do then is have the domain for the website.
There is a caveat about if there is excessive traffic on the tribe website then a tribe might need to stake more. So far that hasn't come up with hiveme.me or hive.photo yet so I guess whatever the bandwidth limit is it's higher than the traffic those sites get.
- For tribes using Outpost for their website and offering NFT minting each edition of an NFT a user mints costs the tribe 0.004 BEE as an NFT transfer fee. Whatever the fee is each tribe charges for NFT minting on their website the 0.004 BEE fee the tribe pays is factored into that amount.
That is the best utility token in hive-engine. That is why I invested in helios to earn bee token from my post
