Let's talk a little about self-voting. As I can see on the POB platform, there are also those who give upvotes on their own posts. And yeah, it's not just POB that have such users. I mean, do they give upvotes on their quality posts. Or they give upvotes on their posts that only have one image in their post without writing anything. Nah! If I think, giving upvotes on quality self-posts is not too problematic, I think. Although it won't look good when other curators see your post, because you also upvote your own post…lol… But yeah, you also need to provide curation for those who create quality content. Because if your goal is to power up/staking just to give upvotes on your own posts, it will look like farming. You only think about your own profit without caring about helping the platform.
But yeah, I also upvote my own post on POB to the value is around 1 POB. But I won't upvote my own post if I just post one picture without writing anything. And I will no longer give upvotes on my posts when the value has reached 2 POB.
What about those who upvote their posts that are not quality?
Nah! For this is not very right to do. And things like this should be get rid on the platform by downvoting their posts…lol…because it's already obvious that they are doing farming by posting one picture without writing anything, or the post is not quality. For this, maybe I don't need to write too long. Because I'm sure if you're not a cheating farmer, then you know what to do when you see farming posts. xD
And I also want to write a little here outside the topic of the discussion above. As we can see, each platform has a whale and a curator. So I want to write a little about whale and curator on a platform.

Nah! For this, I'm not too sure if it's wrong or not. But if I think about it, they are free to provide curation for anyone. As long as the posts they curate are of quality or not plagiarism, this is just my opinion.

I have never voted on my own posts and I don't consider doing so. Just because it doesn't feel right.
Author rewards are ment for the author. I'm happy to even get 50% of the curation votes. It's an appreciation or stimulation for the author.
But everyone can do whatever he wants.
Yeah that's great, I like the way you use your voting power. And yeah, I want to try not to upvote my posts. As you said, it might be better to curate other people's posts by getting a 50% split reward from the curated results on other people's posts.
Why are you so concerned about this, upvotes for your posts? Does it make a big difference to the platform? Of course, every author considers their post to be of high quality, and therefore sees nothing wrong with voting for it. But I think it's not the author's upvote that determines the quality of the post on the platform, but the number of upvotes, by real people, not bots.
But to an even greater extent, in my opinion, the quality of a post is determined by the number and quality of comments on it. And that's something I would, somehow, add in regards to the financial evaluation of a post..
I'm never worried about upvoting my posts, because my current upvote value is still low. But if my upvote value has reached 2 POB, I will not give upvote again on my post. Yeah even though it's quality because it gets upvotes from other people, but I won't say that my posts get a lot of rewards because are quality.
Yeah you're right, to see a quality post. We just need to see how many upvotes and comments on the post. And whatever it depends on how the account owner wants to use their voting power. xD
