The future of Proofofbrain
What if I said you can get all the answers to your questions about the future now. You can ask any question and the answer will be provided for you. This was a special service by a bot created called @magic8ball. This bot used to be on the blot chain, but although he has an account he hasn't had much interaction on Hive.
Since this bot is not available lets as our questions on "Ask the Eight Ball" online.
I used Spike's Magic 8 Ball at https://www.indra.com/cgi-bin/spikes-8-ball
The first question I had was:
1. Considering that the amount of POB reduces after four years, will the POB community even be here four years from now?
The answer I got was
REPLY HAZY TRY AGAIN
So I tried again this time with a more simple question, "Will POB still be here in 4 years?"
The answer was very clear:
WITHOUT A DOUBT
2. Will the price of POB be significantly lower in 2022?
The answer I got there was
OUTLOOK NOT SO GOOD
That's not a really clear answer for this question so I wanted to make it more clear...
Will the price of POB crash in 2022?
The answer I got was:
MY SOURCES SAY NO
That is clear enough for me.
Let's try more of a governance question this time.
3. Will downvotes be around POB in 2022?
It said:
OUTLOOK GOOD
That's debatable, but most likely downvotes will be around. I didn't go into much detail but the 8 ball was pretty clear on this one. It looks like the downvote issue will be resolved by then by one way or another.
4. Will content and interactions on POB increase in 2022?
The answer I got for this one was:
MOST LIKELY
It looks like the 8 ball sometimes is not so sure of the future. I guess this question really has a lot to do with the users and creators that come to POB. It is really what we make of it.
5. Will POB drama ever stop?
The answer the 8 ball gave me for this one was:
OUTLOOK NOT SO GOOD
I could have guessed this one myself. Some amount of drama will always be necessary. Partly for the entertainment valued and partly the process of providing a smooth operating network for all parties involved.
The 8 ball predicted it but didn't say drama was good. Maybe drama is not good. Either way it looks like we are stuck with it.
6. Will Mineopoly always be trending on POB?
This one surprised me a lot. I don't think I can even keep up with writing posts let alone keep on trending, but this 8 ball says:

I'm not really comfortable about this answer so I do it again.

This was the first time I ever got two answers exactly the same in a row. I asked the 8 ball again just make sure a third time and I got this answer:
BETTER NOT TELL YOU NOW
This 8 ball has no room for doubters.
It's like, "You ain't worth my time."
It's really hard to make any decision, even when it is YES or NO.
The question I didn't ask the magic 8 ball is should I vote YES or NO for the POB proposal. I had to make my own choice. It's so hard to chose but each day we are confronted with thousands of decisions. It would be easier if the eight ball could make all our decisions. But we are a people who think.
We are actualized people who have at least a few human fibers left in our body. Most of our decisions are made from our gut. Perhaps because the gut has a lot of being. We really don't know the future but how the future will be is being determined by the decisions we make today.

The 8 ball can read your mind @dreemsteem. That's how it works. You think of the question hard enough that the 8 ball can hear you thinking. Then it gives you the answer it was programed to give in random order.

It's really fun and a little spooky. It gives the answers randomly but sometimes they seem so real. Just for fun ask the 8 ball some questions about the weather, like is it raining? Then you can see how accurate the 8 ball is. I wouldn't bet POB's future on an 8 ball, but it's fun to play with.
This summer all meetings over three people are forbidden in Korea. That means I can still meet with one person and shoot pool. Would you like to play?
