RE: Identity is Violence

in Proof of Brain3 years ago (edited)

Soup is indeed violent.

We can define the universe as something that is constantly trying to divide us back into soup.

Is identity then a rebellion against the universe?

Can we, the good loving folk of first world entitlement, come to terms with the violent nature of 'is'ness?

Or must we remain passive in the universe's constant consumption, regurgitation, excretement and decay of the self?

Shall we now deem the universe 'evil'?

Evil... evil universe. How dare it be what it is. Something we fight to separate ourselves from constantly so we can avoid cycles of deaths and rebirths, deaths and rebirths - not remembering what we've done or where we've been.

No wonder so many are struggling so hard and fighting to retain their identity... no wonder secret societies form that preserve what they deem the 'right' identity that will last through a cycle.

What is morality in this picture?

What is survival?

Are we noble to survive?
