One of the earliest forms of artistic expression here in Canada was done by the First Nations and other indigenous communities here. I remember watching one of the Indigenous dances in my high school where ornamental masks in the shape of animals were worn by the Indigenous members as well as colorful clothing and other ornaments. The songs they sang and the dances were prepared for all significant events in their lives such as birth, death and prayer.

I grew up in Illinois and sometimes made it to pow wows that I will never forget in my life. As a child I was inspired and transformed to another world in minutes.
Oh wow that must have been a brand new experience to see in person as a child. I am hoping to go up North here to watch the Northern Lights. There is a big indigenous community there too. I am hoping to find resources to learn the dialect a bit. This is a very far into the future plan though.
It seems possible one summer to just keep driving north until you get there. It's not out of the question. And as for the dialect, you can get the basics covered quick. It's fluency that is difficult. Probably will take a lifetime and you never really understand until you become one. My brother lives in Alaska and in the summer he drives up to the arctic circle. The world is real there.
I agree with you here. I just need to make sure I pick the right time of the year as well. Heard it can get very tough in the winter.
I would be more than happy to master the basics hahahha. Thank you for the reassurance though with the possibility of going up there and still learning basics.
A place I have in my bucket list to visit for sure. I have a question for you. Where would you love to travel in the future?

I never travel just for the sake of travel. I go to places I need to be, but if I had a choice I would like to travel to another dimension as long as I know the way back home.
These ornamental mask looks colorful and cool, it has been really interesting sharing our cultural objects across the globe. Looking forward to more amazing suggestions.
Thank you so much Funshee. This was a great opportunity to learn about several different cultures of other people around the world. It could even educate people who did not know much about their very own culture and I hope they come to appreciate it.
😂 I'm not scared... 🤭 I'm trying not to be scared 🤣 don't laugh at me.
When I first saw this artistic expression, it was so creative and amazing but it started to look scary to me 😂🤣
I share the same sentiment as you! I tried not to be scared. Lets be scared together 🤣
Very creative the masks they used in their rituals. I think they are very ingenious when they are made with materials from nature.
