OurPick encouragement program is part of the @Liotes ecosystem, where quality posts are curated. Authors are encouraged to continue creating content, adding value to various communities, and contributing to Hive in general.

Occasionally, we will select a couple of outstanding posts that we find particularly interesting and suggest them for your further reading... We hope it will help authors as an additional promotional tool... We support creators with our upvotes in Hive, but also in other tribe tokens! These Hive-Engine tribes add extra value to the entire ecosystem, helping authors and curators follow their niches and dreams...

You will be missed, @whywhy by @thisismylife

image.png

Unfortunate news for everyone on HIVE! 😞
I stumbled upon Whywhy through @mypathtofire, who selected a few of his posts for the Ourpick curation project, and immediately liked his posts and way of writing/thinking... I suppose we clicked as we are a very similar age, and reading his posts about the 80s and 90s was a nice throwback for everyone who lived in that era...
Rest in peace, my friend... 🙏

What is the USP (Unique Selling point) of Hive? Why do we use it and how to onboard more users? by @slothlydoesit

image.png

I suppose we don't have a USP, which isn't a bad thing... I suppose that's one of the GOOD SIDES of HIVE and maybe one of the best proofs that we are decentralized... If we had only ONE selling point, it would mean that everyone uses the platform in the same way... But, HIVE means completely different for many Hivians... For one, it's a milking cow for author rewards, for others, a nice source of money for doing a small dev work, for some it's the only social network where the data is YOURS, etc.
Personally, I came here for the money... Found a Splinterlands video where the author said that you can earn crypto by playing the game... What do you need more of? 😃 Of course, as time was passing by, my USP was changing, and at this moment, I suppose I'm here because of the people I met here... Without HIVE, I wouldn't travel to some places around Europe, as I was attending Hive meetups in them... For me, HIVE is more than an ordinary social network, as it "lured" me to go IRL and meet other Hivians! Don't know why that happened, but it did... lol...
The situation in the communities isn't as bad as it may look like from the outside... Yes, we do have some pricks among whales, but you can build a nice, healthy community without them... Maybe you will not get big upvotes, but you can still get some great people around you, and build connections...

Infamous Iron Man Keychain Made from a Soda Can [ENG-ESP] by @fixie

image.png

A true craftsman! It's incredible that you achieved such a fantastic result with soft drink cans. I think it's not easy at all, not only cutting each part and shaping it, cutting the small eyes and doing it as precisely as possible, but also because everything is small and working on a small scale is complicated. But you did a great job!
You chose a spectacular character and the green colour gave it style, and as you say, the fact that the can was battered is like battle scars. The helmet has expression and you've ended up with an original and very handcrafted keyring.

FROM THE NEARBY HILLS - MONOMAD - PHOTOGRAPHY STORIES || ENG-ESP || (12 pics) by @jlinaresp

image.png

You are definitely a lucky man. Just by walking up the hill, your backyard, for about 20 minutes, you can see all that beauty and, above all, horses, even if they are not wild horses. I am passionate about horses, just like cats. People pose for you, they know you, and that's fabulous. The views from the hill with that mist are enchanting; they look like something from another planet.
I loved the herons, and with every step, without rushing, but looking at your surroundings, you can capture the spirit of the place. You are excellent at your job, I love it.

Last Day in Italy — Bergamo by @steemychicken1

image.png

I am loving what you share here, and for me I am barely enjoying my first hours in Italy, and my first time in this country. I will only know Rome, but I see places like this and they fill me with joy and the desire to know more. I know that Milan and Venice are very impressive, and Bergamo seems to be very quiet in every way. Be that as it may, you have said goodbye to Italy to the greats, thanks for sharing it. I hope your trip to Greece goes well, it is another place that I dream of visiting one day...

Hive at laughable prices, I respond with a fun drawing featuring the pets Esie and Ajolote. [ENG] [ESP] by @ibarra95

image.png

You have created a spectacular illustration featuring the mascots of Ecency and Aliento. Like all illustrations of this kind, you are sending a message: one of opportunity in the face of current events, an opportunity for long-term investment. That is visionary, and I hope that those who were paying attention and saw the moment seized it.
I liked the detailed step-by-step process you followed, the colours and the outline demarcation, reminiscent of those comic books, I love it. You leave a message of no panic or that certain circumstances are just that, opportunities.
