Gorgeous! I used to have a homemade stamped leather belt I got from a charity shop and I loved it. When I stopped wearing belts it turned into straps to hold a folding table up on the door of our Defender, then it frayed and broke entirely. They're hard to come by now, and valuable - they're very 'boho' chic. What a great thing to have in your possession, and a cool thing to do. I never use bookmarks (unless they're scraps of paper) and I'm a hopeless dog-ear person, don't hold it against me.
Thats too bad that your belt broke, but nothing lasts forever I suppose. They are definitely boho chic. Thats a good way to describe the style. I used to be a dog ear person as well and still do for my mass produced paperback books. I stopped doing it with my older rarer Hardcovers that I collect. Just trying to keep them in the best shape possible. No judgement on dog earring lol

Just finishing the very short Becky Chambers second in her Monk and Robot series. Plus an easy travel/dystopian read I skim read but was entertaining due to the premise. Haven't been reading too much this fortnight as I keep missing the mobile library!
Yeah I have a pretty big list in backlog now. I definitely have enough to carry me into 2027. I should stop until I read them but when you spot a rare used book its hard to pass up because you might not come across it again. I've stopped buying new books at least.
