We use the word love to describe a lot of things. We love food. We love music. We love a good joke and we love having a good time. Using love to describe such simple things makes the word seem a little safer. It is safe because we are not exposed. A great cup of coffee cannot reject us. A song from our favorite band does not leave us feeling useless. But when we choose to share our life with another person, we inevitably make a choice to become vulnerable. Unfortunately, vulnerability leaves our defenses down, and often we get hurt.
We all know the feeling: rejection, humiliation, desperation. Opening our hearts to another person, only to be rejected, is one of the most painful experiences in life. It hurts the most because in love we are most vulnerable. It’s worse than physical pain because it shakes us at the core of our identity, our hopes, and our dreams. Love rushes us to the mountain-top, and when lost, sends us careening back to the valley below. We cannot help but feel empty. We cannot help but feel worthless. We cannot help but feel hopeless.

Interesting read. Been in Love can be a really dicey affair as it can send one shattering down emotionally and some other times lifting us up to the skies at times. It's an up and down scenario. No perfect relationship is a bed or roses as it takes some cracks for two different people to stick together.
The reason it is important to be ready and prepared before entering into a relationship. To survive the relationships affair one must see beyond the feeling of emotions as true love by bypassing what we feel, it's about giving all. It's about showing commitment and been loyal despite what the situation may look like.
Many people enter into that School of life with the intention of been happy all the time. It requires more than happiness, it's about sacrificing a lot to make it work. Many don't know this till they are put in a place where they have make relationship work, at this juncture certain people bail out.
If you take at people who have been in this game for decades, you will find out there were lots of ups and downs. Those were the things that sharpened the relationship to last. True love confines you to become and sacrifice lot of things. Both parties must be ready if they intend to take the journey of love.
