Id el Maulud is actually the celebration of Prophet Muhammad's birthday all over the world. Prophet Muhammad is a lover of peace and teaches his followers the doctrine of peace and unity. Although in recent times, some muslim have deviated from the Prophets teachings about to institutionalize terrorism. As we mark the Prophets birthday today, we call on muslim all over the world to live in peace and harmony with their neighbors.

AS Muslim faithful all over the world celebrate Maulud-Un-Nabiyy, which is the birth of Prophet Mohammed, President Muhammadu Buhari has called for peace in the country, as he noted that the military and other security agencies were recording greater successes in the move to combat insecurity across the country.
He urged Muslims to strive for “forgiveness and closeness to the noble life and teachings of the Prophet (SAW) whose birthday is being marked on this blessed day.Source
I'm Celebrating the Muslims in Nigeria
As a Nigerian, I want to use this medium to celebrate all my muslim brothers in Nigeria. Today 19th of October was declared as public holiday. As you meet your family and friends during this celebration period, let's shun violence and give peace a chance to reign in Nigeria. To the Nigerians in the Northeast, it's my prayer for you to live in unity and harmony. For the displaced ones we ask the federal government of Nigeria to create enabling environment for them to return back home.
Finally, it's time to embrace peace in Nigeria and the world in general. No nation develops in chaos and disunity. Let's give peace a chance.
