By the way, I think the problem here is people generally cannot think for themselves. That's why a minor proportion of the world population do think for the majority.
The majority are simply content to follow.
Somehow, ridiculous things are okay if the minority who do the thinking say it is. The mass suspend all rationality and simply follow.
Plus, they're quick to demonize and antagonize anyone who has the balls to refuse to follow.
It's a horrible phenomenon, really. But it is what it is.
