Fungi Friday - Pycnoporus sanguineus & Xylaria longipes

in FungiFriday5 months ago

This is my contribution to #FungiFriday by @ewkaw

As usual today is a special Friday because mushroom hunters & lovers in various parts of the world gather to share their mushroom finds. Likewise, I have also prepared two interesting types of mushrooms to share in today's edition of FungiFriday, Friday, December 22 2023.

The first mushroom is the Pycnoporus sanguineus mushroom, a mushroom from the Polyporaceae family with attractive bright colors. Apart from the color, the shape of this mushroom is also the reason for me to photograph it.

The second interesting fungus is the Xylaria longipes fungus. The size of this mushroom is quite large with a shape that is also quite unique. I have uploaded some of the photos below.
