It's been a looooong time since mine last #FungiFriday, did @ewkaw mentioned food?
Here I am!
I went mushroom hunting this morning, straight down the street, then right, then you continue straight and second street turn on left and I arrived.
First row, second row, oh there, something white is peeking!
Nah, just garlic.
No sign of mushrooms, 0 traces.
To the store!
I'm seriously considering growing mushrooms, as I couldn't find even a single mushroom seller at the market this morning. Not saying that's something extraordinary, maybe just my habit buying them there.
The store had them, honestly quality was disappointing (noticed after opening the package), but they were still usable. I set out to make a mushroom tart, which would also be today's lunch and there is no way I have to change it and figure out something else.
I've never made one before, due to recently moving in I don't have half the things (like a nice tart pan for example), however, I was still eager to try it out.
Needless to say, well known to everyone - champignons.
Wondering how hard can be to produce them? That would be a cool thing to explore.
That's a fungus, after all, a little mutating miracle.
Cheese perfectly matches them, whenever I was ordering Quattro Formaggi I had to add mushrooms as an extra.
The tart looks a lot like a deep-dish pizza, only this time shrooms are accompanied by the company of eggs, sour cream, onions and a couple of slices of ham.
Crispy buttery thin dough.

Now it is Saturday already... no mushroom tart for me as I am coming late to the Friday party... or maybe a slice of it can be saved for me?
