I Found Two Beautiful Types of Mushrooms for Fungi Friday This Time

in FungiFriday9 days ago

Hi everyone, how are you today? I hope you're all well and able to go about your daily activities as usual.

I'm back here with all my friends to share some beautiful mushroom images that I captured using my Android camera.

Some of the mushroom images I'm sharing here are My Contribution to #FungiFriday by @ewkaw.

A few days ago, I went on another mushroom hunt in several places or locations around my area. This mushroom grows on the trunk of an areca nut, but it grows on the dead frond.

Using a search engine, I found that this mushroom is very similar to the Coprinopsis lagopus mushroom, with its soft texture and easy breakability.

With a white stem and a size that matches the size of the umbrella and is gray, the beauty of this mushroom is even more perfect.

I love this mushroom for its shape and color. While it looks beautiful growing now, in a few days it will enlarge, and the top will appear more open, resembling an umbrella. However, this mushroom doesn't live long; in a few days, it will also wilt and die.

The hunt for more mushrooms continued. I suspected there would be more in the area because it had started raining a while ago and it looked quite damp.

From a distance, I spotted a fallen tree trunk. Upon arriving, I saw that the trunk had begun to rot, indicating it had fallen long ago.

Here, I found another mushroom species that was no less beautiful, even brighter in color. It was wider and orange.

This mushroom was Desarmillaria tabescens. This mushroom had grown in abundance here. Like the mushroom above, this one also appeared to be weak and very easy to break. With just a little pressure, it would tear.

The top surface of this mushroom appeared flat and smooth, in contrast to the underside, which appeared segmented and striped from the center outward.

These mushrooms grow in abundance here, perhaps because the rotting logs provide an excellent growth medium. I tried photographing from several angles to get the best image. After I finished, I left the area.
