FungiFriday - Show off

Today is a little break from the Polish woods and mushrooms. We are back (for a little bit) to Portugal and the local fungi.

These were shot in October in the south part of the country. There is still plenty of dry plants around as the rains just started. Some moist trapped in the decaying leave were enough for these handsome fellas.

Just look at those pretty ruffles. Fancy little dude :)

I have no idea what they are and I did not pick them. Few of them were standing all proud under the large cork trees.

Very pale, almost white top an the nearly black gills under looked quite elegant. And they were also the biggest mushrooms found that day.

A little bit further away, but still around cork trees I spotted another group of whitehats :)

It could be the same type, just a bit younger so they didn't open the hats as much yet. Also the gills on these were brown and not black - that also could indicate not a mature specimen.
But it's all just my thinking out loud. It might be a completely different mushroom that fooled me think it is not :p

Beautiful photos of mushrooms!
I would also like to see your photos of lichens !!!

Thank you!
Oh... I didn't pot lichens in a while... :P Must fix that soon.

@ewkaw I'll be waiting!

Beautiful gills detail! Hard to say whether they're the same or not. The hats look very much alike. I don't think I've seen these in my nearby forests.

Turns out they are the same and even edible :p
Hmm.. maybe they like the warmer climate... or special tree.

Maybe! Will you pick them next time? 😁

Hello dear friend @ewkaw good night
I think it is the same variety of mushrooms, only that they are newer and are being developed
Excellent shots.
Have a beautiful weekend

Apparently they are the same :)
Thank, and you as well.

Some beautiful shots!

Yes, I would say those are the same kinds of mushrooms; actually good eating when they are quite young... before the hats open, the gills are almost pink.

=^..^=

Oh I didn't know! Do you know their name?

It looks like agaricus campestris (aka field or meadow mushroom).

Nice mushrooms .thanks for sharing these .

Thanks!

Fungi are life! Even if they are super connected with decay and death :)

Or they turn death into life :)

True. I am totally happy when I see new fungi in my garden :)
