Do you remember when was the last time I published a post in the Fungi Friday community? π€
You don't remember?
Me neither. π
I recall it could be around a year ago, but to clear up the doubts, I scrolled quickly through my whole blog of '25 and very soon reached my latest post in this community. Oh, it seems it was in December of 2024, which means my memory is still not so broken. It was indeed about one year ago; however, I was wrong in my guess about the mushrooms that were presented as I thought it was the story of Grey Hood. π€·ββ

Anyway, what we will focus on in this post is the present time and the poor guys I found the other day, on Monday, when we went to the freshwater spring in the mountains. From the first photo, you see how nice the views from there are, looking towards the little village of Guadalest (it can barely be seen in the photo, but it is there). What I liked the most was the layer of clouds covering the mountain range behind the village. The unfortunate thing is that even these nice views couldn't help the poor mushrooms that I accidentally discovered in my short walk.

To reach the place where I stumbled upon them, I walked uphill on this asphalted path. I assume it is necessary to have at least some decent asphalt roads leading to the nearby orchards, but still, it somehow doesn't fit the feeling of being surrounded just by pure nature. That is why, after some time, I chose a smaller forest path.

To be honest, I did think, or rather wish, that I might find some mushrooms, but the chances for that were not high. It has not rained here in a while, the ground is quite dry, but you never know in these mountains in this season.
You see? - said the voice that had not lost all hope.

Yes, I see. A little mushroom hidden among the conifer needles. So what? It doesn't have vibrant colours, nor is it so pretty... however, it is alive, and that is actually a lucky thing for this guy. Just next to it, I found more of the same type, all taken out of the soil already and left there. π

I am not sure who or why took them out of the ground. Was it someone who thought they were dangerous or someone who wanted to take them home, but in the end changed their opinion and just left the mushrooms there? I don't know.

Although I am not an expert on fungi and cannot identify this type of mushroom, I believe they are not poisonous.

One by one, I took them (though with a certain precaution, as if I to some extent thought they could be harmful for my hands haha) and made a small collection of the unlucky guys that I found lying around.

Mushroom collection:

Leaving the collection there and heading back to the asphalt path, I stumbled upon another one. π³
Why are the gills black? Maybe burnt by a human?

I felt sorry for the mushroom, but in the end, it looked almost like a cookie burnt in my oven an artwork.

This flying saucer, I mean burnt cookie burnt mushroom is greeting all of us this Fungi Friday. ππ

So great to see those mountains, and also lovely nature shots in here.
I know that you also like mountains β°οΈ
Thank you, this is our favourite place to go when we want to breathe some really fresh air π
never seen that mushroom before here in Holland .
i'm sure i would have recognised that structure of the gills .
You have been manual curated and upvoted by @ecency
Did you know that @stresskiller is also a witness now ?
And I wish to find some of those real nice mushrooms that can be found in central and north Europe... The dry climate here doesn't help in my task π
well at least you can see the photos ;)
I thought your last mushroom publication was .... the one from the botanical garden of Malaga... I was wrong!π
But these views you bring today.... I'd stay there all day... maybe the mushrooms wanted to move for some reason and didn't make it...π
As a burnt biscuit in your oven, you make spectacular biscuits, not burnt at all.
I loved this tour!
Well, now you bring me doubts jajaja. π€£ I will have to check the botanical garden post but I think I didn't find mushrooms there.
I think you are right, maybe the mushrooms wanted to have a better spot to observe the clouds over the mountains and wanted to go there. Unfortunately, they realized too late that they don't have legs...poor ones π
I felt sorry for the mushrooms... or someone wanted to eat them roasted... it's very rare...
It is strange, indeed, but Elbuhito wrote in her comment what could be the thing that happened π
No!!! Invade the earth! I'll pick you up in my spaceship! We're all crazy hereπ€£
Spaceship or a flying saucer, everything helps π
Hello, Mr. Burnt Mushroom! I wonder what kind of tragedy occurred in Mushroomland? Perhaps there was a war between mushrooms, with spears and fire, and that's why this mushroom is burnt, it was a victim of the rebellion of the neighboring mushroom people. I think they were angry, maybe there was some misunderstanding, and they all ended up being uprooted from their lands π²
Land invasion? π¦
Ow, I think Buhito got some information about this from his family members living in
this forestMushroomland. πBattles with fire which can easily burn the fragile gills, rebellion and misunderstandings that lead to such events - owls are wise birds π¦, there is no doubt about it.
No me digas que Buhito tuvo algo que ver... no me digas... pobre hongo!π
Yes I remember you used to publish in the fungi friday community...I see nature Is beautiful around there!
I also love these mountains and know them very well. Visiting it is always a joy for me π
Hahaha, yes, I used to have fun with the fungi posts back in time π
Loving the mountain view, it looks like it, brings the peace and unique places, and also it caught in my eyes the picture of mushroom you find out.
It does bring peace, I love that mountain β°οΈ
These are big mushrooms and you captured them real nice.
Well, Some burnt food tastes better especially our party jellof rice. π
I just checked the jellof rice. π There is also paella here in Spain that tastes great if prepared well in those huge shallow frying pans for this dish π€€
You've been curated by @amazingdrinks! Delegations welcome!
I guess there are great drinks that also use mushrooms as an ingredient, however I would avoid these that I found π€ͺ
