Mushrooms on my backyard, winter 2024 (Engl / Spn)

in FungiFriday4 days ago (edited)

Greetings to all. I haven't posted in this interesting community for more than a year, but as I mentioned in my first post here, I live in a very dry and warm area, which makes the growth and existence of mushrooms difficult. In fact, it is only possible to observe them during the rainy season, or winter, and since that season already started a few weeks ago, the mushrooms have resurfaced on the site, and I have taken the opportunity to photograph them and learn from them.

Four days ago I went out to the lot in the morning, and I sadly saw that the flowers of one of the acerola trees had fallen to the ground due to the rain and the wind (there was a storm on the weekend), however, I was able to I noticed among the little flowers and the remains of wood of an old olive tree (which I had to cut down because it was sick), where some beautiful mushrooms were showing and I decided to photograph them.

I could see seven small mushrooms under the acerola. Only one of them was still fresh, it was a young specimen with a very pretty yellow color, the others had already matured and changed shape, turning between a very light white and beige color, and with their expanded and concave caps, a sign of that they had already expelled the spores.

Since I don't know many aspects of mushrooms, I was looking for matches on the Internet, using Google Lens, and according to my search, these specimens are Bolbitius titubans , although to be quite frank, I'm not 100 % sure of it, however, they looked very similar to those in the photographs, (at the end of this post I indicate the pages consulted), and from what I could read, this variety of mushrooms can present very varied morphologies.

According to the bibliography consulted, these fungi present the following general characteristics:

  • They grow in decomposing soils, especially when there is manure. In the case of my backyard, although there are sheep nearby, they do not live there, therefore, there is no manure, but there is decomposing plant material, creating a suitable substrate for the growth of these fungi.

  • The size of its hat averages 2.5 x 6 cm wide, presenting an ovoid or round shape, (I observed them round). In young specimens this cap is convex and when they mature it tends to become flat, with a depressed center, I would say concave.

  • The spores are tan in color.

  • It lacks gastronomic interest, because it has almost no meat.

Here I end my post today, in which I wanted to share these beautiful specimens of fungi, indicators that the life cycle of my solar ecosystem continues its course, transforming and creating life. Greetings to all, and remember that all living beings are very important for life on our planet. Hugs!

¡Abrazos!

All living things on the planet play an important role for the human race. Here are the amazing photography with different types of mushrooms. Although after many days you have presented the mushroom information before us again. But in our country it is usually summer. But it is constantly raining. These mushrooms get mixed with the soil in excess of rain. But the mushrooms in your country look very beautiful. However, these fish are very rare species in our country.

Hi @mdakash62

Each country and each region has its own peculiarities. Where I live the soil is dry and the climate is very hot, which prevents mushrooms from growing, however from time to time you can see some, like these.

Thank you very much for stopping by to read and comment. Have a great Sunday.

Yes mam above all we have to continue our efforts to save mushroom. But due to weather climate change it is not possible many times. I pray to the creator for controlling the weather and climate of your country. Above all, the Creator is great. you are always most welcome mam good morning
