Here is a pitiful sighting for this #fungifriday

These appear to be mower mushrooms or something similar to mycena as they are growing out of wood chips.

The rain hasn't been as heavy this fall so I'm finding close to nothing fungi-wise.

Thus I am in a church garden finding just these mower mushrooms.

For some reason just this one area had loads of them. I thought they were ink caps at first in the dark but after hitting them with the flash they look to be something different.

I suspect they are Panaeolina foenisecii.

As it turns out these little guys have trace amounts of psilocybin in them.

But you would have to probably find a truckload of them to actually feel anything.

I guess at least I found something finally for #fungifriday. I'm hoping the rest of this fall will be rainy with lots of nice puffballs, chicken of the woods and maybe even some hedgehogs.

That's all for now, thanks for looking at these pitiful finds lol :-)
There were almost no shrooms for us this summer: too cold and wet
Hmm time to bring in some winter mushroom mycena over there. They thrive in the cold and wet environments and they are super edible. I hope to find some during the first snow here.
I haven't seen much all summer due to the drought then I was mowing today and there were mushrooms all over! we really haven't got much rain - still officially in a severe drought - but the cooler weather and a shower we had last week seems to have been enough to get them going.
I bet the ones you mowed looked similar to the one's above right aka mower mushrooms. We finally got some rain today so I'm hoping it brings out the puffballs and oysters.
