Well, well, well, I believe I stumbled upon a magic mushroom today.
A family of 3 is growing on the grass at the park.
The perky nipple made me think it's a type of psilocybe (but a few characteristics are not present so it may just be an inky cap).
Psilocybe is a genus of mushrooms known for containing the psychedelic compounds psilocybin and psilocin. These substances are responsible for the hallucinogenic effects experienced by those who consume these mushrooms, it is illegal here in the UK and classified as a class A drug like LSD.
I picked one to examine it closely, the cap texture doesn't match the leathery cap of the magic mushroom.
I am Currently spore printing it to determine what it is.

The next mushroom I found is Bleeding Broadleaf Crust (Stereum rugosum) growing on a branch up high in the huge horse chestnut tree at the kid's park, a rotting branch, that soon will fall.
These are more chunkier than my previous find. It stands out from other crust fungi due to its unique feature of bleeding and maintaining its red coloration when scratched.
But this needs to be reported to our local council because it poses a hazard to the children playing in the park. Although they have recently trimmed this tree, they may not have noticed that this branch is about to fall. By reporting this, they will become more aware of the need to prioritize safety over just the aesthetic appearance of the tree.
Possibly the Wolf's milk, known scientifically as Lycogala epidendrum, is a cosmopolitan species of plasmodial slime mold frequently misidentified as a fungus, I initially thought it cute baby puffballs.
They look like little pearls with pinky hue.
The next one I found is an eyelash mushroom (Scutellinia scutellata).
I was walking along the lovely woodland and this small thing was so attractive in color that I spotted it.
They have hairs in them like eyelashes, hence the name In addition to its distinctive appearance, it plays a role in the decomposition of organic matter in forest ecosystems.
It's a hairy heart!
