That's some really wild weather! I've heard the weather there can get a bit crazy sometimes. We have some pretty crazy weather in New York too but I've never seen any crazy flooding where I'm at thankfully.
I think that's a good call to just keep doing what you're doing for now, but I totally get where you're coming from wanting to learn more for the future.
