My project is called disposable JAZZ and is a beatbox harmonica and trumpet based sound where i play the bong

A number of years ago Chong got arrested for bongs in the mail and i thought it was important to provideva clear case of plausible deniability for the bong. It is not an item without a reasonable purpose its my rythym section.

Because nobody would give me gigs at venues i decided to not them. I have a powered speaker and a folding table. I use a boss ve 20 looping pedal. I have a mic stand for my shure sm57 instrument mic and a vintage radio shack vocal mic that has a off switch and i keep it on the table. I have 4 very different from each other harmonicas a mouth harp a vintage melodica a trumpet a tiny xylophone, a silicone 1 foot bong, a cowbell (in case i need a little) and a otamatone

I build soundscapes live in public spaces for improv vocals or long trumpet solos. It is called disposable jazz and one of the reasons is that on the boss ve 20 there is a button which erases the slate and allows for new creation. There are no sound banks or card data. It is an older analog unit and is simple in comparison to other loop station of the modern era.

The limitation is every sound needs to enter via the sm57 microphone. No guitars and only 1 track. Most of whats happening sonically is powered by the expression of breath withbtje exception being the otamatone cowbell xylophone which are mostly used for textures.

I dont tend to create songs but in a way similar to dj performances i create a set. I take the album doo bop from miles davis as a form. In this album of the 90s Miles is giving a hot take on what he thought hip hop sounded like to him. It was jazzy but rugged, there were otherwise unknown rappers lightly sprinkled on some tracks but they were thete supporting the horn section.

I enjoy playing as far and wide as possible and really enjoy collaborations.
